Ron Paul is a CERTIFIED Write In Candidate In California!!

if the info is in their account, a motivated person could make it happen.
i just wish i'd thought of this earlier.
I've had my hands tied with congressional race here, completely didn't think about you needing outreach and ads.
did you see the ad we made for our Ron Paul ticket in 2008? the bloodsuckers? :)

I did see the mosquito one in 2008! That was so cool!!

I know the information is there, I just don't have tech keys to sort by state, which likely can be done. I did just pm Bryan about it, though, so he might have some ideas. I don't feel like I'm authorized to just use emails here at my own discretion.

I was going to put up a couple of facebook ads, for what I can get, for college towns where Ron had rallies and voter registration at the rallies. I may do that tomorrow, now that he is certified.

I don't see my friend's name on the list of electors, I'm guessing there were more volunteers than needed?

Love your avatar! There were actually three different efforts to get Ron certified and this one had the least when I found out about them, but ended up having the most in first, so it isn't our group. Since I had to send them in still hoping we'd get enough to certify, sent directly, (I hadn't gotten 55 ) I am very pleased they got them in, but obviously it would have been nice if we had all known about each other earlier so we weren't draining off electors in three different directions. Still, I'm glad when three different groups of Ron Paul supporters noticed he wasn't a write in candidate, they all started to do something about it.....

Thanks :) I had been here almost three years without one since I couldn't come up with anything fitting. One day this one caught my eye. It fits.

Got it -- thanks for explaining.

Yeah, I emailed the explanation to people who sent me email addresses with their forms, so your friend will have an email if he included his.

To Clyde Coulter, you may not be VP but you did help to get the successful filing in place. The guy who ultimately got the most electors in, had only one in when we had about 20, but he had no easy way to disseminate his form until he saw us using dropbox, which he didn't know about (your idea). After that he was able to get the stuff spread to the people he needed it to reach.

He posted that at DP.

In 2008 we had Paul on the Louisiana ballot. Wasn't it the "Louisiana Taxpayers" party? I don't know if he'll be on it this time and if not, is it possible to do a write-in?

I don't think he's going to be on the ballot in Louisiana this year, although I couldn't swear to it, but a lot of people are doing write ins nationwide, even in states where it will only fall into the catch all votes for 'other' category, calling that none of the above. I don't know if it is counted in LA to Ron himself, or not, otherwise. http://writeinron2012.com/writeinBlog/

the reason Paul was on the ballot in 2008 is because myself, along with others put him on the ballot. it wasn't hard at all.
I unintentionally fucked over some of my friends in the process, so I left the ballot decision up to others for this election.
Qualifying is over and no one else bothered to put him on the ballot.
Write-ins don't work in louisiana because of how the voting machines are setup, they only have voting levers(or button) for candidates on ballot.
you pull or push your choices, then hit an enter button. there is no mechanism for writing in anything on the ballot. there isn't a button for it.
If you had requested an absentee ballot, you would at least have something to write Ron's name on... but its too late for that request.
So no Ron on ballot in louisiana. (it feels like if i'm not the one doing it, it doesn't get done)
No way to write-in with the way ballots are cast.
so, you either stay home, vote for 3rd party, or vote for drone 1 or 2.

or leave that office blank so your vote falls into the 'none of the above' 'undervote' category..... but it is up to you. It is your vote. I personally hope not many votes here will be cast for Romney or Obama, but everyone has to make their own decision.

Here, they use the MicroVote machines, to write-in you select writein instead of one of the candidates then it gives the alphabet to choose from a letter for each of the buttons and then select done after keying it in.

yeah, as llong as i've been voting, we've had these same type machines.
we replaced most of the analogs with digital.
