This is my contribution to using sources and opinions from people actually on our side - ie as befitting a Ron Paul forum. Too many opinions are just anti libertarian hogwash from bad sources, I've pointed this out before and listed some of the owners and what they actually believe,
I fully agree with this tweet, and Musk is acting exactly as he was expected to act after giving no reason why any central authority should come between communication and what people say and what people choose to listen to.
The reason is hogwash. I listened to the actual interview - and there was nothing inciting violence in it - not that it was any of twitters business as it wasn't posted to twitter. I didn't feel I gained much from it either - other than the sense of why I was listening to FIVE (at least) people on that show who had been banned for "incorrect thinking'' - including one congresswoman, and what changed in twenty years in America that enabled any group to start trying to squash free speech. Time was no one cared what someone said, or thought it was any of their business what people heard, or that people shouldn't have the right to make up their own minds and decide how to think for themselves.
There was no tweets inciting violence either as far as I can see (Musk removed all evidence so we can't decide for ourselves. Three people posted tweets on Kayne's account on the show - including Alex Jones, all seemed positive. Kayne later went on and posted a picture from a ufo cult group showing a swastiki inside a hexagram. Elon seems to claimed this symbol incites violence.
If Kayne incited violence, he would be charged with it. By claiming Kayne committed a crime, which is manifestly untrue when you actually are able to see what tweet was complained about, Elon's just lying and opening himself up to a just lawsuit on criminal libel.
It's not just famous people like this making the news. I've been hearing of a lot of accounts that are still banned, suspended etc from everyday people. Twitter is still playing games wjth the complaint system too, where any communist/leftist etc can make any threatening behavior to you and be ignored, but anything perceived as against pc left speak is off limits. It's just the same old disgusting behavior.
I thought the "we made mistakes about the election" was laughable. Those weren't mistakes, they were criminal behavior, and you admitting to them and just for yourself doesn't absolve you of the crime. Those "mistakes" were coordinated throughout the social networking world, and that isn't a guess, we've long had documentation they were coordinating it, and as of the last few weeks, through democrats and quasi government involvement.
Musk is looking to me more like he is just taking the heat off the rest of the industry and friends, like a limited hangout. I'll just wait to see.
