"Ron Paul has the deepest support I've seen in decades.... could come around to win"

I do agree that body language is a big thing. For some reason, they enjoy cutting to a shot of him whenever he is doing something awkward. When RP is answering questions however, his body language is great: it is genuine, and it goes along with what he is saying, in other-words he isn't lying. Yes, slouching also isn't a good thing, it can give a bad impression, but he is old.. Even though he is better shape than some people half his age.

I have noticed that Perry does like to use his hands a lot, too. I need to observe him more.. I have not really been paying attention to Romney.

Bachmann uses her hands when making points, however it looks rehearsed and it is the same motion that is being repeated. I am certain that they have been schooled on the body language that should be portrayed on stage. Bachmann has messed up sometimes with her body language, it is not something you can easily control. For example, on one of the issues she was nervously twiddling her fingers. I forgot exactly what she was saying, but I caught her doing that. Everything means something in body language: From holding your hands out with your palms facing up, or holding your hands out with your palms facing down, to how 'open' your hands are, or if they are slightly clenched, going from constantly using your hands to not using them at all while speaking. Everything means something.

If I could observe their faces more up close, I would be able to catch microexpressions. Microexpressions you cannot control at all, this would be able to reveal a lot.

As for RP's clothes.. Personally, I do not judge based on how 'stylish', I believe that's the term, he is. What matters to me is what he says and how he articulates it. Although, I do understand how some people are quite shallow when it comes to this..

Ron Paul, lonely? I'm not sure about that. Maybe so though. I guess it's rough to have so many saying you're a crazy old man when you know you're right though.

I think it was posted somewhere that this was taken in the interview room at his 2007 office in NH while waiting for something or other.

This.

The video:
I agree that image matters, it sucks but it's reality and we need to deal with it.
Refine the message. Refine the image. Refine the win.

A little bit of refinement is ok.

But we don't want to refine things too much.

Otherwise, Ron Paul will no longer be Ron Paul.

Ron doesnt need to even match up to Romney and Perry (who are both taller and younger)

Ross Perot was a little old pipsqueak. But he commanded the stage.

It's all about the body language and voice inflection.

Weird, I don't remember President Perot...

Any idea how many viewers tune in to Judge on TV? Most basic cable packages don't carry FOX Business, so probably not that many - although it's the right demographic - but I'd still like to know.

The sad truth is that if you divide between Fox News & Fox Business, viewership is 99 to 1. Fox puts Paul on FBN and talks about him all the time to claim they are being fair but the reality is they are not. Fox News is where all the action is.

FOX Business is available in 50% of the households that FOX News is. Viewership is probably something less, but no where 1%. Cavuto had Paul on his FOX News show talking about the media blackout and said they looked it up and Paul had been on his show 78 times and was always welcome back in the future.

The best thing about this... Its true!

Ron Paul's grassroots support is ridiculously powerful. Lets keep up the hard work!

That was great.... and it true based on all those signs from the 'tea party' questions!

This is the guy I want to vote for:

I hope this image becomes iconic.

My thought exactly! That's the man I've wanted to vote for since 2007.

And by the way everyone, John McCain got the nomination last time and he looks way, WAY worse than Ron.

If we win it will be because of our grassroots. That is the most powerful tool at our disposal. No other candidate has the on-the-ground support we have. Our ability to make calls, knock on doors and talk to old people will be what wins the nomination for Ron. Personally reaching out to apathetic voters is a great way to get votes.
