When I read about how he used to give speeches to empty rooms or crowds of 5 people, it gives me the chills. I would have given up if I were in his position. This is why he is a hero to me. Someone like Ron Paul comes around once in a generation. Maybe even less than that.

Viva La rEVOLution!

My Hero too!
Not only the way he explains liberty. But also the fact that he is just a great human being. He's a stark difference to 99% of the Politicians I know.

Way less than once a generation, once a century is more like it.

I agree, the liberty message has changed my life as well. Unfortunately the message of liberty needs a truly emotionally mature audience to grasp what it means. Society today is so blinded by hate, greed, and fear that many people are just too emotionally immature to make the liberty connection in their brains.

It takes a certain kind of person to understand what it truly means to be human, and without liberty we are mere animals, slaves to the state.

If we devote our lives fighting for the causes within the GOP framework in the same exact way Ron did we will win in the long run.

Never surrender, never give up, and always ask yourself WWRPD?

This battle could last the rest of our lives, get ready folks...

I think i'll name my kids after the Dr.
He's given us all a reason to live and a plan of action to fight!

I was always jealous of people that had a "hero" growing up. Somtimes I wondered if my standards were too high or there was something wrong with me. The typical "American Hero" NYPD and troops thing didn't work either, even when I was a Marine. All that is different now. Ron Paul is the embodiment of everything I believe we all can be. Ron Paul is my hero.

This.

Grew up for the better part of my life so far with no father figure, ive only met Dr. Paul once but his steadfast devotion to liberty, personal responsibility and a genuine moral compass inspire me beyond anything my own father could give me. Personally I think RP is the definition of a "true" man and should set the bar for men around the world....because in the end all you have is your word, he prides that and so do I.

Ron Paul has taught me a new found love for ALL human beings. I no longer accept the idea that I am somehow better than another human because I was born in America. I no longer accept that it is acceptable for foreign citizens to be killed in wars. I no longer accept the idea that people who live their lives one way are any better or worse than people who live their lives another way. Ron Paul has made me become an adult. He has done more to shape my adult life than any other human could ever hope to. He radically shifted all my views on politics and economics, and I feel like I am a better man of it.

Ron Paul is my hero.

IMHO, there has never been and can never be another Ron Paul. He brought the idea of liberty back to the place it was born, before him it was a topic only disscused in history classes.
