I received a newer design from Lee, which wasn't as popular among the Ron Paul Gum staff. It has his campaign promises on it, do you like this one better?

Also, it was noted (in a private message) that we do not have http://www.ronpaulgum.com registered, that is correct. The domain that is in the template is incorrect, our website is http://www.ronpaulgum.INFO . I hope that clears up any confusion.

Just a quick mock-up:

Edit: hey, don't we need to leave space for nutritional information?

Thanks, I'll put it into the Design Center for the team to see. Just as a note we do have design criteria that we would like to meet.

Concerning nutritional information, no, as these are promotional materials that information is not needed, however I do have the ingredients and other nutritional facts that I can send you upon request.

Just another point, it's probably a bad idea to use the word "truth" in promotional material for RP...

I don't see why not, how truthful do you think Romney, Guiliani or Huckabee are? Ron Paul will stick by his word.

i suggest don't make it a fresh modern art deco bold style

make it old style federation constitution -- like those old style sweets

i still think you should use ron paul's face, smiling, with a thiumbs up

Message should not be political. He should be a brand unto himself. The brand should aim to last BEYOND THE ELECTIONS. eg : "Believe in Ron Paul! Believe in yourself!"

I suggest blue and white colour but no red.

I have no idea where I heard this, but it does sound reasonable. Food-related products are usually advertised in warm colors (reds, yellows, oranges). When I see a blue gum wrapper, I associate it with Winter Fresh and that design has never gripped me in the same manner a Juicy Fruit wrapper has.

I like the modern bold style because I'd actually want to take a pack with me (if I weren't necessarily a Ron Paul supporter). Something that appears antiquated (especially a gum wrapper) may unconsciously have me associate it with something old hence gross (and it's happened to me before when I came across foreign gum brands).

And the yellow, red, black scheme is not solely a Kill Bill phenomenon. It's been around since the days of Bauhaus. I think those colors just go nicely together and has a certain visual impact that captivates the beholder. *former graphic design major*

Thanks for the suggestions!
We expect to have several different packages printed up until the 2008 elections in November, one of those designs will be reminiscent of 1800's - Early 1900's style food packaging, for right now we are trying to get one design out the door before we really focus on others. If you would like to contribute designs we would more than welcome them, post them on our design center.
Thanks!

Thanks for the link, looks like the stuff I missed is easy to add.

I don't actually need it -- I was just worried about using space in the design that I didn't actually have because it was reserved for nutritional information. Good to know that isn't the case.

I was thinking more of the media having associated Dr. Paul with 9/11 truthers.

Edit: I'm no graphic designer, so I'm not saying my design is any good in that sense...I just really want to see those bullet points (or close to them, anyway) in the design. That combination of information just about instantly sells Dr. Paul.

definitely include nutrition info/ingredients. A lot of people want to know what they're eating.

Hmm, seeing as over 75% of those who answered in the poll thought positively of the design, would this work out well as a first edition? As I stated in a previous post, there will be other designs coming...

I agree, running this off as a first edition would be awesome. I'm sure this idea will catch on really really fast.

Alright then, I'm (sadly) still working on the custom shopping cart for this, but I think I can share a price listing, how does this look?

100 Packs costs $109.99 @ $1.0999/pack
250 Packs costs $269.99 @ $1.0799/pack
500 Packs costs $524.99 @ $1.0499/pack

Then shipping on top of that...

I don't know, what's wrong with using the r3VOLution logo on a yellow background?

then its cool enough to be on a gum pack, easy enough to be noticed as RP propaganda, and you can have the issues on the other side.....

this is not rocket science. If I'm honest, the official blue colour and official logo looks square in the extreme.
