Ron Paul getting delegates like a boss! Activists don't back down and sweep in Nevada

2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul swept all state delegates from Nye County and a strong majority of state delegates from Douglas County in these areas’ respective GOP county conventions held Saturday. Yesterday’s success story from Nye County is especially notable because the county party establishment leadership attempted to break the rules in order to win, and ironically this effort destroyed their ability to send any representation to the state convention.

Nye County Republican Party leadership attempted to fill empty precinct delegate slots with people who failed to be elected or even participate in the February 4th caucus precinct meetings. Ron Paul supporters, however, worked tirelessly to ensure that the Republican Party rules were upheld and that Nevada State statutes were complied with. The 12-term Congressman from Texas’ supporters refused to allow the convening of a convention with unelected delegates. This delay in starting the convention ultimately frustrated the less-dedicated establishment attendees who refused to play by the rules.

Any word on the other 15 counties? I haven't seen anything on here except talk about Nye.

Sweet!!

April is going to be a very interesting month for us, since that is when a lot of these state conventions are going to take place.

Thank you Angel for your continued coverage of our Delegate R3volution for Ron Paul in 2012 and our freedoms :D

Well thank you for the good news this morning Angel. Romney and the MSM has taken clam to NY as one of the states for Romney, but don't believe it. Paul supporter's and Santorum supporters should be on guard.

A lessen in blowback!!

I would like to humbly thank all of those participating in the delegate process. My words cannot convey to you how grateful I am for your dedication.

It is by district isn't it?

We need Washoe and Carson counties to clinch.

I understand we got about a third of Washoe, but who knows how many of Grinch's supporters will turn up, or who they will support once they get to the meeting, if they do. My understanding is we got about as much as Romney with Grinch and Santa splitting the rest. It might depend on if they follow the Santa slate idea to deny Romney.

Finally, some good news.

Agorism, unbinding the delegates might not be a smart manuever. If Romney cannot get 1,144 mathematically by any campaigns count, we gain more by not changing the rules. In fact, that is a rational we commonly use against Romney. Changing the rules should only be done if that, by itself, stops Romney from getting 1,144. That whole analysis supposes that is possible and not prohibited under Nevada law. If Nevada law requires delegates to be bound, the Roberts Rules of Order prohibit such a motion, and any such motion is void.

i'm pretty sure that the state convention can pass a resolution saying it's delegates are free to vote their conscious.
