Ron Paul Film "Elektable" Premieres Thursday June 28th

Hey, I ain't complainin'. When/if it does get posted, we need to spread it like wildfire. Posted on front page/facebooks/etc.

Just watched it. Pretty good. But I doubt it will gain us much momentum for new support.

Why:

1. Nearly nekkid girl in it (I couldn't care less, but we're hurting so bad in the "older people" category, and they will view it as extremely gratuitous).
2. Mostly an ad for Ben Swann
3. Panders more to the Ron Paul hardcores than the Ron Paul newbies
4. Nearly no education. Doesn't explain our terminology.

I sincerely hope it goes viral, and you better believe I'll be spreading this puppy, but I don't see it taking off beyond our tight knit community. :/

fail release.

Yeah....but so what? At least someone made a film on this subject, it was initially delayed because of the obamacare announcement, which truly shows his wanting to be this to be as accurate and as recent as possible right before the RNC, and I applaud his efforts and completely understand how long it takes to edit and render, get people there on such sort notice to shoot and re-shoot, tech issues, power issues(watch the video) and then upload this stuff.

The only people that are viewing this as a fail release are members of the choir, if you think about it...Just like Dr. Paul's message, it will be up to us to spread this thing like no other once it does drop, no matter when it does. Whatever peaceful means is at our disposal to right this ship, should be utilized to their fullest potential.
Seems some are being ridiculous about making such an issue of it, especially if it's around people we're trying to awaken, as they'll just see it as verification of their prejudices toward Ron Paul, his supporters, and therefore LIBERTY. We really need to get the liberty part to the front of those there, because no one can outright say that they don't want that, but it's real easy to demonize and therefore shut down a person or a group of people ("Ron Paul Supporters"), but they cannot ever shut down the message of liberty without revealing their fangs dripping with blood...

Push ahead, keep trying to awaken people, help spread this video like wildfire....as long as its good, of course.:p

The only complaint that I have is that the video is very 'confused' about what target it is trying to appeal to. To start out with a quote by Ron Paul already alienates many people who already have a sour taste in their mouth. The video also tries to get people to Tampa, so we know it is trying to appeal to Ron Paul supporters. Then the video tries to appeal to elected delegates near the end but it certainly didn't start out in a fashion where your typical elected delegate would watch long enough to see the end.

Video was still worth the wait! blow it up on the web! start with facebook, twitter, and reddit!

when the MSM reporters watch this, some of them will def. feel like shit

Its ok, not what I was expecting, but sharing now!

Someone said something about a "nearly nekkid woman" in the film? Where? The girl in the BIKINI, and not even a skimpy one at that? Wow, dont come around the beach where I live!

I disagree with it being completely for hardcores, but I understand that reaction. I think part of it is a tribute to the grassroots, and how they spread the messages of Ron Paul. The other part is for those who have never seen beyond what the MSM provides.

Richter said a lot of the dialogue was like reading a thread at the Daily Paul, and in some cases, taken straight from it. To people who spend a lot of time here and over there, it seems redundant, but for one who is new to it, there are a lot of references to grassroots media they have never heard of. This is the most important asset of the film, because rarely does this audience ever actively search like we used to 6-7 years ago - the internet now comes to them :

In the interview Richter did with Tracy Diaz, he did say there will be a shorter version without the bikini girl, around 4-5- minutes.

The video is too 'niche' to go viral on the fractional level of kony 2012.

As a film maker, he should've known exactly what his target audience was.

I wish the creator focused more of who his target audience was and continued on that path. This video seems to be very confused about who it was trying to reach out to.

I liked it because I am already a Ron Paul supporter but I can't imagine many of my friends watching it through and for a video that was meant to go instantly viral, I do believe that is where the creator of this video failed.

+Rep, you make great points. Refutes a lot of what I said. Makes me much more hopeful. I still am a little wary of the bikini girl, if just for the evangelical older audience.

Sad...but true.

What I don't understand is he bragged in the promo about shooting with RED footage-then added a retro interlaced tv screen to most of it...what a waste. I just watched it again, and will eat a little of an earlier comment, didn't grow on me the second time around...Seemed more of a spoof aimed toward "us", pretty horrible acting.

Yeah, I didn't understand that either? Why shoot with such high quality cameras then manipulate the footage to a poorer quality? I really do wish this was more serious.

Just because Ron Paul videos can get up to hundreds of thousands of views, doesn't mean a better version can get millions. That isn't how it works.

Its just too bad, I'm sad to say the video was very underwhelming.

But I did love it as a supporter.
