Did they specifically bash Austrian Economics. Or did they bash the ideas that Paul is talking about with sound money, Inflation, reducing spending along with taxes.

Austrian economics are pretty common sense. Balance your budget and don't borrow yourself into a hole. Don't print money unless necessary as it devalues the currency if there isn't a demand for it.
