Ron Paul endorses Chuck Baldwin so now we know who to get behind

Neither will I, that's why I am voting for Chuck Baldwin.

If he's ok for Ron Paul, he's ok for me.

This mind set scares the crap out of me, that is the same blind zombie support that the two parties get. EVALUATE HIM and decide if he is really standing for what you think is right or our movement will quickly devolve into a third zombie sheep party.

What are you talking about? Ron Paul knows these candidates better than any of us ever could. I trust Ron Paul and if he endorsed Chuck that should be good enough.

I have researched Chuck Baldwin and the libertarian candidate and the other 2 and I will say Chuck Baldwin is closer to Ron Paul than all the rest put together.

I don't understand what everyone is arguing about. Ron Paul knows there are many types of people with many different beliefs in the rEVOLution, that's why he said we should endorse a 3rd party candidate and included "socialists" like Nader and McKinney. There are Democrats who voted for Paul who don't want to end up voting for Obama. He pointed out they have other options. There are libertarians in this movement, therefore there is Barr. There are Christians here too, thus we have Baldwin.
We're not supposed to "follow" who he's voting for. The point was to vote 3rd party so we could vote against the current system yet vote for someone who had somewhat similar views. Then they all signed on to the contract so that the things they all had in common were the very things Ron Paul supporters have in common. You pick who comes closest to your beliefs.
I've been torn between Barr and Baldwin because neither is totally it for me. I've never felt so undecided about something before, so I am going to follow Paul and vote Baldwin because a) I've read a lot of his newsletters and like what he has to say b) I'm a Christian so I like some, not all, of his social views and c) he's not going to win anyway as this is a protest vote so I will feel no guilt about voting for the lesser of any evils.
So thank you Ron Paul for making me feel a little more at ease. I was about to write Paul's name in even though Ohio doesn't count write-in votes.
Everyone else... pick who you want, but don't judge others for who they decide to vote for in this mess. Remember it is a protest vote, because we'd ALL really rather vote for Ron Paul instead.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath. Seriously, do it!

Now, we all need to understand that there is only one Ron Paul. Barr & Baldwin are not Ron Paul. So let's get rid of the whole "Barr is not a libertarian" and "Baldwin is too protectionist" debates.

We need to understand as a freedom loving group that people who are interested in Ron Paul's message are not going to have the exact same political views as Ron Paul. If a Democrat supports Ron Paul, are they less of a supporter because they don't match his views? No! To give you an example, look at Dennis Kucinich. He has the exact opposite economic views as Ron Paul. Yet, they still manage to get along fine. Why? Because they are able to put aside our differences in order to achieve a greater goal: Restoring our Constitutional freedoms.

So, come on people, grow up. We can certainly debate each candidate's views and their potential flaws, but the fact of the matter is that we have a greater enemy to face. Barr and Baldwin are representing their parties this year and that's not going to change. If you don't like Barr, then fine, go write to or get involved with the LP and ask them to not nominate Barr in '12. Same goes for Baldwin and his party. But right now, we need to stop this infighting and try to uproot Obama's and McCain's political support. The less support they have, the more likely we'll get something done and this includes electing freedom-loving politicians.

Vote for whoever you want, but let's try to be a bit more mature and organized. It'll only do good for the Ron Paul Revolution.

I am not arguing about the qualities of Baldwin. I am saying that we must guard against become zombies like the other two parties. Saying that you are going to vote for Chuck just because RP said to means that you are just like them, the republicans vote for whoever they are told to without asking questions.

That attitude will lead this movement down a path of corruption and will destroy it. Ron will not be here forever, and even now his opinions are just that.

Research and learn before you vote!! It is sad I even have to write that at a place like this

Like I said I have researched all of them and I also respect Ron Paul's decision

It's sad how many people protest that the liberty movement is "not just about Ron Paul," and yet how many say, "I'm voting for Chuck Baldwin because Ron Paul told me to."

I respect Dr. Paul's support of Baldwin, and yet I'm still voting for Bob Barr. It doesn't detract from my respect for Dr. Paul nor from my love of liberty one bit. Nor do I think YOU should vote for Bob Barr if you genuinely don't think he's the best candidate.

Don't be a zombie. Vote for the best candidate, based on your OWN research and consideration. Endorsements shouldn't mean jack $h1t to you, if you're a thinking person. There's plenty of information readily available. Make up your own mind.

ummm, i we can't trust Ron Paul, just bend down and kiss your ass goodbye, because we are screwed beyond belief.

Ron Paul's favorite food is mashed potatoes. There, now you know what to eat tomorrow.

Ron Paul's favorite movie is Rocky. There, now you know what to watch tomorrow.

Ron Paul is an M.D. There, now go apply to medical school.

Your argument makes no sense and is exactly the opposite of what the good doctor stands for. Stop being a sheep.

Ron Paul has proven we cannot trust his endorsements by the people he has chosen to endorse prior to Baldwin. Just look at the names on his Liberty PAC website.

For instance do some research on:

Paul Broun
Roscoe Bartlett
Virgil Goode
Doug Lamborn
Denny Rehberg

All listed at
http://www.libertypac.net/html/federal.html

Where Ron Paul says... Help "elect more Ron Paul's to office"

A very limited amount of research will show that the above named individuals are not "Ron Paul's". They disagree on one of Ron Paul's most fundamental issues: foreign policy.

Chuck Baldwin is wonderful compared to these guys... but please know the folly of blindly supporting any candidate that Ron Paul chooses to endorse.

Enjoy.

hello all havn't posted in months glad to see nothing has changed here.

I'll be voting for Barr not that it matters

Paul is still the man and I hope he is fit and ready in 2012. The country will be in real shit then so he might have a chance.

cheers

Good. Morons here don't understand that more votes for LP [largest third party] this year means a bigger run for someone in 2012. These people cannot think ahead lol. They rather go on board with an unlibertarian loser that never receives any media attention.
