Ron Paul DVD - 7-6-2007 Hot off the press - The DVD to WIN the straw poll!!

Okay, clarify for a geek-wannabe. I can download this file and burn it to a DVD-R and it will play in a DVD player, right? :blonde smiley:

Yes I'm fairly certain it will play in most dvd players, don't have it yet to verify. A lot of people are at about 90% once we have the file download speeds will skyrocket.

94%!!!!!!!!! Will start seeding and dedicate ALL my uploading bandwidth to the cause!

You CANNOT burn it like a regular dvd or cd. You need ISO (Image file, which is just a picture of the original dvd) mounting software. Visit the wiki iso page I linked to on the previous page and download a mounting software. Once you install the freeware it is very simple and straightforward. And you will be able to play it in any dvd player or computer.

I have downloaded and burned and yes it plays in my DVD player. btw, I couldn't get the program linked to earlier to work, but I used DVD Decrypter and it worked fine.

About 94%. What do I do when it's done to help speed up other's downloads. I don't plan on making a DVD because it's Iowa specific.

Guess I'm antiquated now. My computer only has a CD r/w. I'm assuming you can copy the ISO to the hard drive and still play it?

yeh, you can play DVDs on your computer via ISO. not sure which programs do it and which ones do not.

Okay. I'm going to try ISO Recorder. Thx. I have an external DVD burner that I hope will work.

Haha, this is the first time my share ratio is in the green. 6GB uploaded of the Ron Paul DVD so far. The speed should increase tenfold once everyone catches up.

The speed test said 4900 kb/s downlaod and 360 kb/s upload. I figured the 2Megabit connection at 186 kb/s would be conservative and attainable for the uTorrent setting.

It doesn't seem too unreasonably slow. I guess I joined ten minutes ago and have about 7% of the file.

Mine's taking a little longer at 120 - 150 kB/s. First time I've done anything with torrent or even imaging. I think I'm figuring it out with y'all's help.

It's speeding up as it goes along, it appears.

Nice collection of videos, if you are using vlc player and the video looks weird make sure under video settings that deinterlace is set to blend.

Would of liked to see a menu system but not a big deal since the primary goal is to get his word out. Thanks

I'll continue to seed.

Nice work all!

Bittorrent is great for this kind of stuff.

Not what I was expecting for a $10k+ DVD project but thanks for taking the initiative.

I'll be glad to work with you guys on the next distro. Shoot me a PM.

uTorrent says it's finished downloading, but the red line still says it's transferring stuff.
