$146 BILLION Stimulus Package PASSED the House of Representatives:

Vote Talley: 385-35

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/29/AR2008012901935.html

So Add another $146 BILLION to the already projected $250 BILLION Deficit for 2008.

$396 BILLION DEFICIT PROJECTED... that's if the economy stays at this current level... unfortunately, it's projected to get worst. YIKES!

FYI, most states are artificially and most of us think, ILLEGALLY, appraising property values much higher than warranted too.

Why, maintain TAX revenues for the state governments... another illegal path government at all levels travels down.

I believe prolonging the 'patriot act' was also attached to this bill.

Are you serious? That's ridiculous. Bush should just give a State of the Union address daily. Then Congress can pass each and every one of his pet bills the very next day.

Yep, there was a provision slipped in to extend the warrantless wiretapping thru FISA that was going to expire Feb 1.

Yes... but it's only a temporary 15 day extension to Feb 13th, 2008.

I don't know how these Clowns in Washington DC are going to get the FISA legislation straightened out. Since the HOUSE of REPS only work 4 days a week now, and the DEM's go on retreat for the rest of this week to WILLIAMSBURG, VA, starting tonight. That means the first day to work on FISA is: Feb 4th - 7th and 11th - 14th.

Then the HOUSE goes on RECESS, Yes again, from Feb 15th, and return to work on the 25th.

No wonder this country is screwed up... What's next for the HOUSE of Representatives, a $10K pay raise and 3 day work week, with maybe 20 weeks of recess/breaks a year?
