Just now, at about 11:40am EST, if anyone was tivoing.

Question was 'Who is the real conservative' and Pat pointed out that McCain and Paul are both extremely conservative but disagree on the war. Later, the lady asked Pat why Paul wasn't more popular with the GOP considering his fiscal conservatism and other traditional conservative stances, and Pat responded that Paul was a 1930's Taft Republican, went on to give a history lesson on the shambles the GOP has become and why.

Good stuff, if anyone can put it up? Nice to see people learning how Republican our guy really is, and even giving him credit for it.

yeah i want to see this Pat always does us good. him and paul have alot in common.

Good find, I'd like to see the YouTube, but why didn't you post this in the news about the official campaign subforum?

sounds like great stuff.

btw, did anyone watch buchanan yesterday on hardball?

they discussed imus controversy and how much imus hurt those basketball players (who apparently ended up on oprah show) and buchanan said something like "insult me and get me to oprah to promote my book" :D

btw, imus will be back on air. i never watched imus before but i think paul might be getting a sympathetic ear there.

From the sounds I'm hearing from the NBC network my email has made some rounds in the past 4 hours. If only they'd reply to me.

already made a post A REal conservative please stand up:) but 2 posts better then one:)

RON PAUL BABY

OK PEOPLES,we need to call out the MSM and all media sources.

RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CONSERVATIVE.

The idea they can run a story on msnbc, and argue over romney/rudolf/thompson.

AS PAT BUCHANAN SAYS,A REAL CONSERVATIVE IS RON PAUL,, was just on msnbc

THE ONLY ANSWER IS RON PAUL SIGH,and i thought the media actually went to college. These guys have 4 yr degrees?????

WE NEED TO CALL THEM OUT NOW and YELL AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS.

RON PAUL 2008,old school yep republican ,

TV NOW RON PAUL RON PAUL BABY

edited The lady actually said Ron Paul is the conservative, cleaning my ears right now, whaaa whaa what did i hear right RON PAUL:)

I hope not. Pat actually has a lot of detractors. I think Ron would have to pick someone who is in their 40s or 50s to balance out his age.

for mass consumption, yes. but i'm about to read buchanan's a republic, not an empire and i increasingly get the feeling i'd rather have buchanan than most anyone else, except the oft-touted walter williams or the like.

buchanan is fiery like paul, but in a more subdued way, a more 'masculine' way, if you will, and would serve as an excellent body of gravity, so it's a shame he's rather unpopular with some of our base. pat could bring in the football watchers, the rednecks, the farm boys, and the businessmen, on pure personality alone.

Buchanan is very similar to Paul, except that Buchanan is a protectionist, whereas Paul favors a free-market.

i can see the practicality of protectionism in mild forms, but i still won't buy into it on principle. same with a few other alternate conservative views.

I think Buchanan is worthy of considering for VP. Buchanan would have to first publicly endorse the whole package of freedom and liberty. Buchanan is extremely well-known. I don't know enough about Buchanan's negatives, but assuming his negatives aren't huge, I think he could add some major name recognition to the ticket. He may not be the only contender for VP, but I would not rule him out solely because of his age.

Buchanan would have to repudiate "protectionism" and economic "isolationism."

You can check out his Wiki page for the negatives. Many people consider him to be an unapologetic anti-semite. I think Ron Paul needs a VP who is much less controversial, like say the governor of Alaska. She has the highest approval rating in the nation and is really charismatic.

or a southern conservative democrat, small business friendly kind of guy, like west virginia's joe manchin. i'm not kidding. there are whispers. he's a good ol' boy, a friend of the family (mine), and likes almost everything ron paul says.

That's an interesting point. Wouldn't the Republican Party get up in arms though about running a Dem as VP, even if they were conservative? Seems like it might drive some conservatives to a third party like the Christian right is talking about doing already. I don't know much about Joe Manchin, though. I'll have to look him up.

Ron Paul's been a representative in Texas for years and years, but it's interesting that he's not seen like a good ole boy like Fred. I guess you can take the boy out of Pennsylvania but you can't take the Pennsylvania out of the boy. :p
