Ron Paul delegates in Louisiana

Although Louisiana holds a presidential primary on February 9, the Republican Party chooses its delegates to the national convention with a two-step caucus/convention system. The first round was held on January 22, when approximately 10,000 Louisiana Republicans turned out to vote in eleven different cities for delegate to the state convention. Each U.S. House district chose 15 delegates.

It appears that Ron Paul supporters outnumbered the supporters of any of his opponents. But since this was predicted, the supporters of Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, and Mitt Romney, cooperated to set up a “fusion” slate of unpledged candidates for Delegate. The “fusion” slate, labeled the “Pro-Life/Pro-Family” slate, beat the Ron Paul slate in each of the 7 U.S. House districts. Formally, the “fusion” slate billed itself as an “uncommitted” slate, and no one really knows how many supporters of each presidential candidate are on the fusion slate, except the campaigns themselves.

this is not completely accurate.

Yes there was a Fusion Slate

but they did not sweep every district.

Your Title is very missleading. It sounds as if he won delegates and then they were taken away. Lets try to keep the misinformation to a minimum.

Ron Paul finished 2nd (I read that this morning) to the pro life/pro family slate
I would expect that by the time Feb 9 rolls around, there may be 1 or 2 less candidates in the mix and anyone who is pro-life and has a brain in their head would vote for Ron Paul. I think it's time to stop spreading rumors and misinformation on LA until the actual votes and all of the provisional ballots are completed.

Then find what you consider non-misleading and correct information if you're just going to spit out that this link is false.

who gives a rats ass about the title. read the goddamn content

Who cares if you label Ron Paul something hes not! Look at his Content!

Give me a break.

Its not hard to change the title. None of us are perfect but if you can't take constructive criticism you have issues.

I agree, the title is misleading. It makes it sound like Ron Paul won delegates but then lost them all.

If I want misinformation, I'll watch the news or read stories from the AP.

You know damn well that your title was meant to catch people's attention, regardless of stretching the truth. Try being honest instead.

Dude, your title is misleading and the content should be well known by now. It was discussed alot when that info first came out. Also, it may or may not be true.

However, it is important that we realize that this sort of thing can happen and guard against it in the future.

I read and left the thread without thinking too much about the title. Now that I came up on the thread again in my search, I can tell you not only is the title misleading its disturbing the way it reads.
