Firstly, would like to say congratulations to the Iowans for giving Dr. Paul a whopping 82% of the votes in the straw poll yesterday. As usual, I am disgusted with the mainstream media's coverage this morning. It seems the Des Moines Register released a "traditional poll" to smoke screen Ron Paul's rout in the straw poll.

As a result, there were only a few outlets who covered the straw poll win - CNN, MSNBC, The State Column. Instead, the media is ablaze about this traditional poll where Cain and Romney are on top.

Does this headline look familiar: Iowa Poll has Cain and Romney Neck-and-Neck, Bachmann Far Behind ... For the record, Bachmann is in fourth place. Guess who is in third?

Regardless of this nonsense, it is important that the media talk about Ron Paul's rout in the straw poll. There are 3 ways to do so:
1. Emailing publications
2. Commenting on the stories like the one I linked to above
3. Tweeting @ the publications and authors of these stories.

A good barometer is always http://google.com/news (they always seem to censor Ron Paul on there too.)

I am here in Massachusetts but I know my friends in Iowa will give Ron Paul the win in the all important Iowa Caucus. I know you guys can do it... My full support and love from Boston.

I went to this event. It was the first time for me to hear Paul speak in person- very cool. He was the first speaker, and after he was done, the room pretty much cleared out. I would say only about a fifth of the people stayed to hear any other speakers. I stayed for a while just out of curiosity to see how badly others would do having to follow Paul, but then left to go to another room for a big pow-wow just for Ron Paul supporters. We went over what we should be doing to push the cause of Ron Paul before and during the caucus.

If nothing else, the event and the numbers generated by it make me believe that Iowa RP supporters are willing to go the extra mile to make things happen.
