Why? Does he realize that he's going to get a FRACTION of the people who was supporting this project to actually pay for it? Just look at his facebook page -- people are pissed. Love you Ron to death, but you need either get sponsors and use web advertisements for revenue, or this is going to be a HUGE FLOP. By the way -- I'm a subscriber.

He should have started it as free and then did a bait and switch like every other company does lol, JK.

But seriously I agree its common business sense now a days to get the ball rolling first and build a solid audience before you get the money flow going, a lot of internet based shows run this way or just generate revenue if it is popular enough via youtube ads, etc.

Yeah, how dare people who work their ass off for something not give away the end product for free?

Then get ready to watch the project flop -- because the majority of comments on his facebook page are negative.

You think this project was set up by the independent wealthy? C'mon, this whole operation cost money!

Good luck getting the money from the "young people" who are all "broke" in a "broke" economy. Free access with ad revenue or bust.

A bigger concern to me is this will eliminate any possibility of drawing in non-supporters. The message of truth and liberty is something that needs to be spread to new listeners, not just preaching to the choir of already open eyed fans.

I actually think advertising would have been a good thing, providing it was from relevant liberty sources (political campaign ads, gun ads, gold ads, etc).

This. Skeptics will never lay out the cash for a trial period.

The unfortunate thing about charging a monthly fee (even as I understand that expenses must be covered and I know they're not cheap) is that it would be a great resource to send people who need the education. People who won't spend a nickel on anything Ron Paul does are the ones who need to see this the most.

Yes, this is unfortunately doomed for failure. Hardly surprising as Ron Paul Inc. has never shown itself to be particularly savvy about how things actually work in the digital age.

Many online enterprises have been able to profitably produce quality content working within confines of the advertiser-driven system, so that's not much of an excuse.

There's quite a competition for liberty media on the internet. The ones giving it away for free usually know just as much as Ron does about liberty and are able to communicate it just as well, sometimes better.
