I hestitate to post this because some people make everything about race, but facts are facts. This is different from the Dadeville shooting at the birthday party where all of the victims where high school students with clean records and college opportunities. The irony is if these two had been convicted of murder they might still be alive. One was acquitted of murdering a teenager. The other had his charges dropped after a witness ended up dead. Also consider this. In 2020, after a steady decline in murder for everybody, everyone's murder rate went up, but black on black murder skyrocketted. This chart is from the Washington post debunking Elon Musk's stats on black on white crime.

I do have a question about the Washington Post's data as we keep hearing from Biden and Kamala about crime going down in 2023, and Statistica shows murder going down (slightly) in 2023 overall.

But black people and white people aren't the only races in America and there have been a huge influx of immigrants who may not be killing each other in high numbers to offet their increase to the population. I dunno.

Anyway, here's my theory as to why black on black murder has so dramatically increased. In the 1960s the civil rights movement was led by black men, most of them Christian preachers. The message was rooted in non violence. With BLM the leaders were three non Christian women who hated the black Christian patriarchy almost as much as they hated white people and included other women who encouraged burning down black neighborhoods as a form of protest because white people had burned down black neighborhoods before.

Investigators are considering a wide range of motives in the case.

Chief Scott Thurmond believes the person being targeted was one of the four killed.

"And then there's there's several multiple motives for the one individual that we believe is targeted," Thurmond said. "But there again, as you mentioned, you've got several others who there'd be motivation from others to target them as well because of their criminal past."

Carlos McCain, one of the victims, was charged with a teen's murder in 2016 but was acquitted by a jury two years later.

In 2021, Roderick Patterson, another victim, was also charged with murder, but prosecutors later dropped the charges due to the death and non-cooperation of witnesses.
