Wish Benton didn't use this language...makes the Paul campaign look like aggressors and the other three candidates like victims. Plus the media is making this sound like Paul said this instead of Benton. We need to stick to the high road...stay honest, consistent and focus on the issues.

Very ballsy....and before the next debate so you know they will bring this up ASAP. It will not look good if we flop in SC. The campaign must be getting some great internal polling numbers to come out like this. Just like when Ron Paul came out before the NH primary and said he was getting 2nd.

Will look bad if we get 4th in SC, otherwise it's a good move. Risky indeed.

No, what they're doing is warning SC voters to not choose an "anti-Romney" that won't be able to actually continue competing down the road.

It tells me they are desperately trying to move into 2nd or 3rd place.

Actually from a strategic point of view we can't have Perry/Newt/Rick drop out until we place better with their voters. Them dropping out would only help us, if we were polling second with most of their supporters, but last I heard we weren't...so for now them stealing votes from Romney is a good thing. It will make the election longer which we really need. You know what will happen if it comes down to Mittens vs Paul? The media will pretend that Mittens already won...ignore the rest of the primary contests and start blabbing about Mittens vs Obama. Yes...we need Perry/Newt/Rick out of thing...but just not yet.
