Now that I know they'll actually count write-ins I'm definitely gonna write-in Ron Paul. Might be unrealistic but if we can get Dr. Paul's numbers near Romney's in November (Obama will take Cali hands down, unfortunately), then we could definitely send a message for 2016.
Ron would be 80 in 2016, meaning he'd have to serve until he is 84. I know his family has a history of longevity - but I have to think practically. The burdens of the office are more than I think an octogenarian should handle.

Only in the American tradition. Konrad Andenauer , Germanys greatest leader of the last two centuries was in power at age 87. There are many other examples.
Paul is not only young at heart he is one of these Iron Man Seventy and Up Division types. Remember in the debate when he got annoyed at someone asking if he would be a one-termer or something, and he challenged all the suits on the stage and the young whippersnappers to a 20-mile bike ride in the Texas heat? I know he wasn't kidding.
He'll be just fine.
Don’t assume that Ron Paul is going to ride off into the sunset, with his cowgirl, Carol, at his side.
Waste of time and energy.

would it be a good idea to start yet another poll asking will you write in Ron Ernest Paul?
