Ron Paul California campus tour! UC Berkeley, UCLA, & CSU Chico State back 2 back 2 back!

Cool! Well i'm sure it will be huge. Make sure you get the word out, ok?

They probably won't let you hug him, a friend of mine got a low-five though. ;)

i get all giddy hearing you folks talking about low fives, hugs and meeting him. I was honored to meet him many times in 2008. It just makes me smile seeing everyone so excited:)

It was way cool and like some have said, it was literally like a rock star tour was showing up. You get a natural high and intense uplifting feeling just being there, being a part of it. Was really fun!

He's such a great man and has woken people up, I yelled out and thanked him a bunch of times when he was about 10 feet from me, made sure he heard that we appreciated it. Other people did the same thing after I did.

=)

Just found out about this. I don't know if it is too late to sign up, but maybe I should just show up anyway. I am about 45 minutes away from Berkeley

I sense Ron Paul could gain some traction with Californians by comparing himself WITH California.

Third-largest state in the nation, California also has the MOST PEOPLE and the HIGHEST GDP . . . bona fide WOULD-BE Powerhouse.

But the rest of the country talks SHIT about California, and RIDICULES California . . . calls us KOOKS, calls us CRAZY, calls us OUT THERE, blah. blah. blah.

How much CRAPPIER would the American economy be without CALIFORNIA'S contribution, hmmmm?

And how much crappier IS the American economy because KOOKS like California and Ron Paul are NOT kings of the heap.

definitely show up. If you are early enough you should get in. There are always people who sign up who find they can't go.

Why can't he do a rally in the Valley? There is a concentration of voters there.

Do you mean Fresno-ish or San Fernando? I'm assuming the former, because UCLA is close enough to the latter.....

I think Ron will be coming back, the primary isn't until June. But he probably can't wait that long to stir some excitement here to fight the media meme that the race is over. San Diego and Orange County are huge for Ron, too, in fact before when he has come for an open event, that has been where he went. But he gets sign up info for all the people who get ticket vouchers and these events are great organization tools.

being from California, I really don't want it's government mind set as king of the heap...

You miss the point ENTIRELY, about tailoring messages to audiences.

Moreover, effecting changes in mindsets is the OBJECTIVE. We WANT to change mindsets. That's that whole Hearts & MINDS thing.

No changed mindsets, no Paul presidency...simple as that.

being CONSERVATIVE and from California, I wouldn't respond well to that message you suggest. Your 'tailoring' is collectivist, assuming Californians think California is on the right path for example, whereas I suspect most open to Ron Paul feel pretty much the opposite.

YOU ARE ALREADY ON BOARD.

If Ron Paul is still spewing talking points that resonate with the PERSUADED & PASSIONATE, that would explain a LOT about his seeming inability to bridge the gap between original support and new support. New support is REQUIRED to win. Oh, well. At least his candidacy will not have been in waste. At least it may serve to get OTHER REPUBLICANS ELECTED TO LESSER OFFICES.

Your 'tailoring' is collectivist...

Unlike, say, CLINGING BEYOND ALL HOPE to the Republican party? Is THAT the kind of "non-collectivist" thinking we are encouraging?r

...assuming Californians think California is on the right

Have you met any NON LATINO Californians who think California is on the right track? I have not.

But y'know what? I retract the suggestion.

I think you people know so well what you're doing and have such a solid handle on it, I can suddenly appreciate why my outside-the-box thinking is ill received. I mean, if I was kicking ass and racking up a probable victory in November, just about the last thing I'd be interested in would be brooking outside ideas.

Carry on.

Because every single of trillions of approaches with nothing to recommend them but that they haven't been tried would work? There is no logic to that. And if no one would think CA was on the right track why would you try to get them to like Ron by suggesting the rest of the country be more like CA? I don't see internal consistency here.

Why single out Latinos?

There are a lot of complaints that these people never show up to vote in the primaries....I am also one that complains....

But imagine when Ron Paul get on the ballot for the general election. These people will show up and this kind of enthusiasm feeds on itself, like a brush fire!.

I love to see this because when it comes time......we will dominate.

I don't really care how or which way he gets on the ballot as long as we can vote for him in the general.

kudos grass roots CSUC and California

BTW I used to own a bar in Chico...great town to bad it is in Cali

Tailoring a message is pandering. If they don't like the message of liberty then they probably believe that government can manage everything for them and comparing himself to California is stupid.
