The only thing politicians love more than spending your money is taking more of it.

As early as next week, statists in BOTH parties are set to ram through a new taxing scheme that's been years in the works - the National Internet Tax Mandate.

Should it pass, every man, woman, and child in the country will feel the pinch as Congress takes a MASSIVE bite out of American prosperity.

Campaign for Liberty President John Tate explains below why the National Internet Tax Mandate scheme is so dangerous. Please read his email and take action IMMEDIATELY.

In Liberty,

Dr. Ron Paul

Statists in Congress are set to hand California, Illinois, and Massachusetts a way out of the fiscal mess big spenders in these states have created.

The "solution" has NOTHING to do with cutting spending.

It's yet another taxpayer BAILOUT designed to allow big spending state legislatures to pick the pockets of every American and drag us down with them via a National Internet Tax Mandate . . .

Worse, Republican Governors from historically low-tax states such as Virginia - anxious to get their own piece of the pie - are helping them right along.

Should the National Internet Tax Mandate pass, you'll suddenly be at the mercy of big spending statists in state capitols thousands of miles away.

So it's absolutely critical you sign your Fax Petitions to your U.S. Representative and Senators IMMEDIATELY.

But first, please let me explain why this is so important.

Officially named the "Marketplace Fairness Act," the National Internet Tax Mandate could be voted on as early as next week.

Under the new National Internet Tax Mandate:

*** All Americans would see their taxes go up as big spending governors of BOTH parties work with the federal government's IRS goons to implement a state sales tax on ALL goods purchased online.

Big spending governors are running their states into bankruptcy, and - instead of reducing spending - they want the IRS to force YOU to bail them out with new Internet taxes!

*** Tax collectors in one state would now be free to pursue retailers across state lines.

For example, if a customer in New York makes a purchase from an online retailer in Texas, that retailer MUST collect New York's exorbitant sales taxes and send it to New York's tax collection agencies;

*** New and higher taxes would CRUSH economic growth and set the stage for massive new regulations that threaten the very existence of the Internet.

And perhaps even worse, it hands big spending state legislatures - staring straight at fiscal disasters of their own makings - more money to keep government growing and the madness going.

The thought of a bailout has big spending governors in BOTH parties excited, and they're busy bending the ears of Congress right now.

In fact, some of the loudest voices in Congress are Republicans who are hiding under the guise of "fairness."

They're more than willing to hand big spending statists in California, Illinois, and elsewhere a massive bailout with their constituents' own money!

Never mind the National Internet Tax Mandate stands to WRECK what remains of our fragile economy.

Never mind every time a high-tax state like California or New York raises its sales tax, consumers in states thousands of miles away who buy goods off the Internet will feel the pinch.

Never mind all hope of state legislatures enacting MORE groundbreaking reforms like we've seen in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and other states in recent years will be dashed.

The National Internet Tax Mandate will only perpetuate the outrageous Big Government, big spending policies that have forced big spending states - and our nation - to the very brink of bankruptcy.

You and I MUST stop this madness.

If you agree, please sign your No National Internet Tax Fax Petition and make your most generous contribution of $100, $50, or $35 to C4L IMMEDIATELY.

Even if you can only chip in $20 or $10, it will make a tremendous difference.

The statists in BOTH parties are determined to RAM this scheme into law quickly before you and I have a chance to react.

So please take a moment right away to sign your Fax Petition DEMANDING your Representative and Senators vote "NO" on the National Internet Sales Tax.

And if you can, please make your most generous contribution to C4L TODAY.

Your generosity will help me alert hundreds of thousands of Americans to this critical fight and stop the National Internet Tax Mandate.

C4L will use mail, email, and hard-hitting Internet ads - and even newspaper, radio, and TV ads, if necessary.

It won't be cheap.

But it will be what it takes to win.

So in addition to signing your petition, won't you please agree to your most generous contribution of $100, $50, or $35 IMMEDIATELY?

Even if all you can do is chip in $10 or $20 to this fight, please do so right away.

There's literally no time to waste.

In Liberty,

John Tate
President

P.S. Members of BOTH parties in Congress are working feverishly to unleash a new National Internet Tax Mandate on the American people.

Should this bill pass, you'll suddenly be at the mercy of big spending statists in state capitols thousands of miles away.

That's why it's critical you sign the petition DEMANDING your U.S. Representative and Senators vote "NO" on the statists' National Internet Tax Mandate scheme - and then make your most generous contribution of $100, $50, or $35 to C4L IMMEDIATELY.

Even if all you can do is chip in $10 or $20 to this fight, please do so right away.

It's nice to see that Ron is joining the fight. However, since this is an issue C4L has decided to get involved with, I'm not surprised that Ron had joined us. Unfortunately, since this would benefit the state and in many cases, local governments in perhaps all states other than AK, it will be hard to stop. In fact, even a lot of Republicans are on board with this since it's mostly designed to stop tax cheaters (though it also hurts some small companies in AK, DE, NH, MT and OR).

It is really bad since it allows people to tax companies which are not constituents, essentially, and have no leverage. Taxation without representation.

Tax cheaters? Wtf?

Tax cheaters? Wtf?

You can use a different term. Currently, every (or is it most?) state with a general sales tax also has a general use tax. Taxpayers are supposed to, by law, know the cost of the items they bought out of state or on the internet and didn't pay their state general sales tax on. And, taxpayers are supposed to pay their state use tax on that amount. However, most taxpayers only pay part of their state use tax on none at all voluntarily. Some online companies (like Walmart) collect the taxes for the states. Other online companies don't. I don't know if any out of state companies collect the tax.

Many states have additional laws to prevent people from avoiding sales, use and excise taxes. For example, if you live in IA and buy cigarettes in MO, you are only allowed to buy so many cigarette cartons at 1 time. The mayor of NYC is trying to strengthen the NYC regulation for this. Other states have similar laws about alcohol and so on.

This bill is designed to make online companies collect the tax that consumers are supposed to pay on their own, but don't.

Obviously, I don't support the bill. The government has too much tax money already. Though, this bill would actually benefit companies in my state since New Hampshire doesn't have a sales tax. That's why I'm so proud that Sen. Ayotte is helping lead the opposition to this, even though it would help NH.
