Has anybody else given any thought to this? Do we know if it is too late to register for a booth? I would love to work it if we have one...

Just found out... Just went to state fair website and applications for vendors have been closed. Don't know if one has been established yet but others are asking the same question.

I put the word out on several groups. We will find out.

Thanks! I wish I had thought of this earlier but maybe somebody else did. I love the fair and I believe it is a good way to meet people.

Sometimes if you call they will still accept a late application if all the spaces haven't been filled. Tough for a state fair though, as they are normally in high demand.

Bump.

I live in Durham, work in Raleigh. I had given thought to this but figured I would be unable to get funding from the campaign to support it. I am willing to head this up though. Does anyone around here want to exchange phone numbers with me and work together?

We have several Ron Paul supporters from FB that are willing to go around the fair and pass out literature. I have ordered 3000 of the business cards and have a few tee shirts. We need to coordinate who wants to go when. Right now there are about 6 to 10 people willing to go.

I am open to doing this. I actually contacted the campaign this morning and spoke with a volunteer coordinator by the name of Jerry. He is passing my information along - he also mentioned there is not currently an NC state coordinator for the RP campaign. I volunteered for it and am up to the job.

Contact me directly (cstur mer @ gm ail.com) regarding the literature hand up. I'll be available for that.

Thanks!

Can I give your email to the people on FB that are interested in doing this?

Do we have any signed up yet? I just got a maybe on FB today. I will try to recruit more on Friday at the Walter Jones event.

Hi, a few of us set up a table outside Gate 8 yesterday evening and today and gave out buttons, stickers, helium-filled balloons, pamphlets, brochures and other stuff to people. Best thing was all the kids walking around with RP balloons in hand. There were plenty of balloons left, but finally we ran out of string and had to stop.

I should say thanks to a fellow FB member of 'Wake County, NC for Ron Paul' group and his entire family who were there way before me and brought in all the stuff. Those guys deserve all the credit. We heard that there was a libertarian booth inside and that they had "Ron Paul stuff", but I never went inside, so couldn't check.
