Last time around, we fundamentaly changed elections with new tactics:

Money Bombs
The Blimp
Viral Youtube videos
Our own convention
Birth of the Tea Party
Virtual Marches (in World of Warcraft)
and so on and so on.

We need to reproduce this zany and creative grassroots tactics if we want to overthrow the Neocons and save our country!

Ideas:
November 5th (Guy Fawkes day) V for Vendetta event
Sky writing
Formal alliance with Log cabin republicans. San Fransisco march?
Declaration of Independence II
Ron Paul democrats in primaries (challenge Obama?)
Infiltration of sporting events and tv show audiences
crop circles and mazes
coast to coast march
underground comic book
Bar-hopping mobile debate groups
Fleet of Ron Paul vehicals: cars, semi-trucks, airplanes, train cars
Tap into the Arab Spring revolutions
Ron Paul Submarine to sail from Texas to New Hampshire

See, those are just off the top of my head. We can make this election feel like an actual revolution if we put our minds to it.

Ron Paul is no ordinary politician, why should he have an ordinary campaign?

Crop Circles? Cool, but illegal destruction of property, and no one's going to see save for a few bush pilots flying over. Maybe we could buy a field and do it legally, but still...

A Submarine? That sounds even more pointless than the blimp. Who are we advertising too? Scuba divers?

These things are...cool...but absurd. Like the blimp, their only real value would be the press coverage we would get from them. The blimp managed to get a 30 sec story on CNN during their overview of politics for the day, but that was about it, besides conservative blogs making fun of it.

If you really want to get media attention, takke the money you'd use to rent a submarine or whatever and save it up for a commerical spot on national television. It's more effective.

Now we are talking. Great post. This is so exciting !!! I have an idea myself for open mic nights at the Liberty !!!! LMAO

Gotta figure out how to get it online though. I wish I was rich, darn it.

Hmm... oh I don't know... perhaps they WIN ELECTIONS!!!

Just a thought...

just a thought multi-level marketing , if you deny that there are multi levels to marketing ron paul. Then i shouldn't be a republican or involved in the gop. It was a ron paul sign that turned me onto ron paul. the same can be said about many of the ideas in this thread. Reality if we do not get new folks joining the gop to be republican delegates. It will not matter!! if you are banking on registered republoicans right now nominnating Ron Paul. Then you are dreaming. If we cannot recruit new republicans and new folks joining and getting involved. Then all multi-level marketing is a waste of time with many republicans in the gop!!!

reminder we are fighting gop and republican corruption!!! we need new folks to join and blimps and signs and many levels of marketing will help this! rpv your doing a great job but there are many levels to it. Not just what you feel is best. the blimp and many other ideas paid for itself and got many more folks involved. ooo the horror! bottom line if we are not recruiting new members to join. Then the folks in the gop(many) are a lost cause and will nominate a neo-con or gop est and let obama win before they would ever support Ron Paul!! All i see in 2012 is the gop est making sure ron paul is marginalized again!!

really i can point to many ordinary campaigns that lose as well! bottom line is there is room for it all!! yes door knocking is one but bottom line is we need to reach out to new members. If you think the typical gop republican is gonna nominate ron paul, then your dreaming. We need to reach outside of the failed gop to get folks to join and there are many levels to this including signs door knocking, mini blimps, people talking,me risking my job at front desk trying to pitch ron paul!! just a thought

the correct typical republican way would be to buy off the gop establishment and make backroom deals to influence the corrupt gop!

Rail cars... hmmm... you know a boxcar might not be so crazy of an idea. Every time you have a RR crossing, you have a captive audience and you know the rail fans would track the thing. Rent one that we could make into a double sided billboard and besides advertizing it could actually be practical. Campaign literature and signs cost a TON to ship, especially in small quantities. If we could pack the thing and make deliveries all over the country we would save a ton on shipping!

If we could find a working caboose to go with it (staffed, of course) and arainge for those 2 to be the last ones on the train, people would take note as they were phased out some years ago. It could be as novel as the blimp. Just a lot less expensive!

Unconventional marketing, yes. Blimps, no.

not enough to convince me since the blimp paid for itself and more ! try paying for all the press coverage and tv time the ron paul blimp got and opened eyes to ron paul. that figure easily surpasses what the blimp cost but since you havent bothered to research mini blimp they are crew less and do not cost as much and are effective!! just look at every car dealer and fairs and you already see them!! mini blimps wpuld pay for themselves the first event!!
