Ron Paul/Barry Goldwater Jr. to be on the ballot in LA

Bump. Because this MUST happen.

All that is left to be done is for shotdown to bring the paperwork to the secretary of state's office with the $500 dollars.
I'm confident he can achieve this.
I would think a press release would be required to get the media attention.
I know I can get some bloggers to run the story. Popular bloggers and news sites like the dead pelican.

I think Chad would cover it alright.

Anyone wanna help get some basics down for a press release?
The Who, What, When, WHy, and WHere?

Because of the nature of this project, we're going to wait until they ACCEPT our paperwork before we actually send out anything. When we do, it'll hit the blogs first. Ballot-access.org, IndPoliticalReport.com, ThirdPartyWatch.com, LewRockwell.com/blog, and TheDeadPelican.com will all go first. I know the people who run each of those. I suspect next we'll just send the message to every TV, Radio, and Print newspaper in the state. After that, I'll send something to CNN, Fox, The New York Times, etc etc. I think this would make national news.

As for AdamT, I'd love to have our core team sit down with him and hammer out something. And I'd love to raise 100k and put a REAL dent in McCain's totals.

AdamT will be in Louisiana during the middle of Sept.
Plans are for him to be staying/visiting my residence at that time.
If you wish to meet with him in person at that time, we can arrange that.
Also, the forum is a great place to exchange ideas. I highly recommend AdamT.

This is awesome, but I think someone should make sure it's OK with Goldwater Jr before the papers are filed. He might raise an objection to it; after all he did eventually endorse McCain. That could be a problem if substitution isn't allowed.

If he doesn't want on the ticket, perhaps a Louisiana "Favorite Son" would be in order.

We're simply hoping Goldwater wont do that. If he does, we expect the SoS to let us do substitution to replace him.

I had recommended John Breaux in an earlier thread that led up to this one.
And I mentioned in that thread the same concern about Goldwater... but thinking about it, i couldn't think of anyone else who would be a sure bet, and if asked, they would say no, but if not asked, would not object.

Brent,

I think Gov. Gary Johnson would agree to it. He has nothing to lose, loves Ron Paul, and likes being controversial. However, I couldnt get in contact with him.

Plus--Johnson doesnt add much in the way of votes. Goldwater does.

Sweet!
can you make that looks good in two colors?

I think we are good as is... At least we will get to see how connected Goldwater is to the neocons.
If he buckles to their demands, he is nothing but a whore. If he simply doesn't object, but doesn't accept. I can respect that.

Can you make the names take up more of the sign, have the waves pushed furthur out and even crop some of it.
I want people driving on a highway to be able to see clearly what the sign says.
This is a yard sign, not web graphic. (subliminal graphic design lecture)
