Ron Paul/Barry Goldwater Jr. to be on the ballot in LA

They arent on YET, but we are now collecting electors forms for this very important project. A final decision has been made to place Paul/Goldwater Jr. on the ballot in LA!

Remember, this is a deep red state that hates McCain. It is a state that has an appreciation for Barry Goldwater and where we almost won the GOP Caucus. If you are interested in helping us in the effort---we need $500 for a filing fee. I know a couple of people in the 4th district, one guy i may be able to sign an electors form, but i don't even think he's registered to vote. do you have to be a registered voter to be an elector?

We need an elector in District 4. We have some bites there,but nothing solid.

We also need $500 for a filing fee. This, of course, is the harder part. Everyone is broke after the Paul campaign.

Oh--and please do tell Ron Paul. Email me your phone number and i'll call you when we turn in the paperwork and filing fee. Someone should mention it to Rep. Goldwater too. Neither was asked,and neither has encouraged this action--and I wouldnt have it any other way. A Drafted candidate is a reluctant candidate and probably someone who doesnt WANT the power.

I do believe you need to be registered to vote...though you can be registered anything from Democrat, to independent, to republican, to third-party. In fact, we'd like to have a Democratic elector.

The only other guy I know who would do it is a professor at NSU and i'm not sure if they would consider that a conflict of interest since he is a state employee.

An Idea- If/when we pull this off, It may be possible to get some grassroots commercials made, and money raised to have state wide advertising to get people to vote for the ticket.
I could even see yard signs made for it. I'd put one up for sure.

Yep,we have firm committments in every other district.

I sent out an email to everyone on my mailing list.
4th district has always been a dead spot for the LALP. Never could find any liberty activist in that area.
The people I sent via PM would be my biggest leads right now, I suggest hunting them down and asking them.
Have everyone you know forward the message on to others on their mailing list.

Some of you may have heard that there is a group out there trying to put Ron Paul/ Barry Goldwater on the presidential ballot here in Louisiana. Well, they've almost finished collecting elector candidate but they still need someone from the 4th district. We need one of you to become an elector for Ron Paul/Barry Goldwater. All that is required is signing some forms and getting them notarized,and $55.

We will also need to collect $500 for a filing fee. I'm not heading up this project, but i told that guy who is that i would ask everyone I know for there help.
We have until Sept. 2.

So- Please contact me if you can help in anyway. I will get you in touch with the guy leading this effort.

We have found our 4th district elector! All that is left is the $500 filing fee!
