It has been confirmed through various officials at Liberty University that Ron will be speaking at this friday's convocation! Mike Huckabee spoke here before the winter break and the campus has basically been blindly following him ever since (with the exception of the people that actually pay attention to issues and the constitution). Even if Ron speaking doesn't make a big difference in the current election, it is of utmost importance that the young people be educated since they will be the congressmen, senators, presidents, and VOTERS of tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how it goes on friday, but me and some others are really excited to get to hear him speak in person.

if anyone at "liberty" university could possibly support anyone other than ron paul, they're either a fucking idiot or they're at the wrong university.

I know ppl who go there, they love Huckabee. It was founded by Jerry Fallwell, to give you an idea of what kind of "liberty" they stand for.

I have to quote Richard Dawkins on this one: "Who accredited them?!?"

now now...i go here...there are a ton of really smart people here (teachers and students). Just be happy that Ron Paul gets that kind of platform to educate people instead of letting them continue to be spoon fed their political tendencies. This is a good thing!

Don't start with the Christian bashing. Liberty University is a fine school and a lot of good Christian people go and have graduated from there.

I work at Liberty and I'm extremely excited about Ron Paul having an opportunity to speak here, even if it isn't the most pro-Freedom environment. Like vroomery said, there are alot of people here who love Ron Paul and are going to be sign waving and passing out information to all the students. The "Liberty University Ron Paul Supporters" group on Facebook has over 130 members.

There will be approximately 10,000 students in attendance in the Vines Center, along with hundreds (if not thousands) more from around the community, and the event is broadcast live on the Liberty Broadcast Network TV station and online at www.liberty.edu/streaming.

This is a great opportunity for Ron Paul before we vote on Tuesday.
