In any case, lets focus on where we can make a difference now.

Ron Paul at 14% in the latest Rasmussen Poll

January 4, 2008

New Hampshire GOP Primary

John McCain ........ 31%

Mitt Romney ..........26%

Ron Paul ............... 14%

Mike Huckabee ......11%

Rudy Giuliani ..........8%

Fred Thompson ...... 5%

Break away 7% of McCain support and 4% of Romney and RP can stage a major upset and be among top 2. It is possible but will take a lot of insurgent effort and smart strategy to target NH audience.

We shouldn't have expected anything from Wyoming. Most observers didn't understand the rules.

The Wyoming county conventions were NOT open to Republican voters. Eligible delegates consisted of only two groups: Republican party officials who were elected in 2006; and delegates who were appointed (by established precinct organizations) to fill empty delegate seats.

There was little chance for new party activists to participate in this process, only old-timers made the choice.

Will be lucky to get anything in Wyo. Romney stopped by to drop off his checks to his buddies. NH is where it's at.

Just another way of stealing votes from the people if you ask me.

Will you stop spamming that poll?

Actually keep spamming it but do it on different boards. Perception is reality in this BUSINESS.

Our votes are just like the stock market. If people say investors aren't buying, others invest elsewhere.

We need find a way to create perception that Paul is Viable so people can invest their vote.

Exactly, after Iowa my brother started backing out of Ron Paul even though I couldn't get him to fully commit yet. People need to see their vote is not going to be "wasted"

This concept of a "wasted" vote is the reason Americans elect morons into office.

Is this a credible poll anyone? I thought we were more like 8% and hoping for 4th place...

It's as credible a poll as any. The fact he's at 14% now and was at 8% before (including in the Rasmussen poll) means he's got Mo-mentum!

Another thing we have to consider is the possibility of straw poll results being inflated in order to back down the "get out the vote" effort. EX: If I see my candidate doing extremely well in a straw poll, I'm going to assume he has lots of support.
