Ron Paul arrived to the debate

One of the questions posted on the CNN board to ask of the candidates.

Dr. Paul,

In the last debate, you mentioned that our policy in the middle East impacted the terrorist attacks of 9/11. If we were to withdraw from the middle East and then get attacked again, what would you do?

Here is how I think he will respond:

Just like he granted authority to go after Bin Laden so would he grant the authority to go after whoever did it.

I know thats not HOW he would say it but it will be along those lines.

This question is designed to make Ron look like he's contradicting himself. He needs to remind everyone that placing troops in the mid east has greatly increased the amount of terrorist attacks on Americans(US Troops) in the first place, and that any course of action taken in retaliation to another terrorist attack directly on the United States after a mid east withdrawal would be done through a congressional declaration of war only. That the president has no authority to wage a war without this authority as per the Constitution. He also needs to remind everyone that if he's successful in pushing his border security plan into action, and coupling it with a successful mid east withdrawal, that the chances of a terrorist attack on US soil would be diminished significantly. Then he should remind them that he would go after only those responsible.

Why are they acting like Fred Thompson owns the internet, not Ron Paul?
