When Romney did his speech about being a Mormon, didn't Ron Paul come out and say his religion shouldn't matter, and that they should only focus on his record? Huckabee is obviously playing the religion card in Iowa. At the very least I would expect Romney to have the utmost respect for Ron Paul for doing that. And after reading about all these scandals in Huckabee's closet I dislike him a lot more than Romney, who although is a flip-flopper and big idiot, I haven't really heard any sleaze-ball scandals he's been in (though I'm sure there may be some)

This is what they call upstaging in theatre. Romney is trying to take away attention from Giuliani by doing something directly infront of him. The theatre majors know all about this. It's considered taboo in theatre to do but during a political campaign it works wonders in drawing attention away from one guy to another.
