Ron Paul and Kurt Bills to hold fundraiser for Minnesota GOP 5/19

Kurt Bills for US Senate is pleased to invite you to a breakfast fundraiser benefiting the Republican Party of Minnesota on Saturday morning, prior to the convention reconvening. This event is open to all, and the featured speaker will be Congressman Ron Paul. The breakfast will be held in the Terry Haws C Hall at the Convention Center. Cost is $20 per person and all the proceeds will go to the Republican Party of Minnesota. We open the doors at 7:00am and breakfast will be served starting at 7:30am. This event is sponsored and paid for by Kurt Bills for US Senate, and your contribution to the Republican Party of Minnesota is not tax-deductible. We will be accepting checks made out to "RPM".

good! I understand they are a million in debt due to past poor management. This is a nice gesture.

I also heard there's going to be a reception Friday night with Kurt Bills and Ron Paul, although I can't find any public information on it. I assume that's because it depends on whether Kurt Bills wins the nomination.

There's also this, tonight:

"Kurt Bills Hospitality Suite
Are you going to be at the state convention this week? If so, I would like to invite you to stop by our hospitality suite on Thursday evening. It will be in the ballroom at the Kelly Inn next door to the convention center and will open at 6:30pm."

This fundraiser is really important because Romney is using money to build up COMPETING organizations to the official party to try to make official state parties we take over irrelevant. He is doing it in NV, and it worked for him in NH, the teaparty chair (not our guy) couldn't fund raise sufficiently with the 'deep pockets' holding back for Romney and eventually had to back out of the position because the party needed money to operate.

Ron bringing money into the MN GOP which has a million in debts from bad management is a very important signal. I urge people to attend the fundraiser. At $20 people who might have just attended a rally might not, otherwise, but there is strategic importance to this.

Yet the chair was able to turn the state house to a brighter red than ever before. ugh

Either they changed the date or I misread it but the event is on Saturday, May 19 (not Friday).

Makes sense since the Friday events don't start til people get out of work, usually around 7pm.

We really need to make this a success to counter the Romney will just bypass the party with money precedent he is doing in NV. We have to show we can fund the party 'chapters' we take over, at minimum to the extent of the local candidates and state candidates.
