ronpaul.in - can you front the $500 and get this thing rolling? Time is of the essence, and besides, if you collect $500 via chip-in for the original purchase, how would you return it to the original donors once actual sales come in?

I'm fairly certain you'll be able to unload all 250 balloons, and the profit margin (small as it is) should give a little incentive to take a little risk. If a miracle happens and you can't unload them all, I will back you by buying a large portion.

I have really tapped myself out trying to donate at every "bomb", I do have another $250 set aside for my wife on the 16th so I am going to try to scrape together more and get an order placed as this method isn't really working out well.

If the chip in was used instead we could send several groups packs of 15 free balloons (or the cost of shipping) and donors would have the choice to receive balloons of their own or choose where to send a package to.

If anyone else has an idea I am all ears.

Start a new thread focused on the balloons, just give the specs and the pricing and call for everyone who intends to buy them to just post how many they intend to buy. If it gets to 500 total, I will lend you the money to get the first batch (paypal?), and you can pay me back when people send money with actual orders.

If you find the support adequate we can go ahead and contact Tarzan and you can send the payment over directly, they spoke with the manufacturer already I believe and secured the best pricing.

From that point we can start accepting orders and Tarzan can handle distribution or I could as well.

What about the clothes?

I'm glad this thread was created, and even though this thread has turned most of its attention towards the balloon idea I want to throw in my two cents in concerning the official ron paul blimp apparel.

The transparancy page on the website says they are getting fleece jackets for the ground crew. I don't know if the graphic would be the same as the one as on the T-shirt at the beginning of the thread, but whatever the case I would love to have an official Ron Paul Airforce jacket.

Since they are already working on designing them for the ground crew it might be easier to get them produced and up for sale.
