Ron Paul Ad - BIG DOG [Running on Sports Networks]

It still is seen as too extreme for many. I really hope they know who they are targeting with this ad.

Seriously? You are worried about what is really, all things considered a light-hearted ad, as portraying someone who openly advocates the closing of the United Nations, open trade with Cuba and Iran, cutting $1 trillion from the budget in the first year, the removal of federal jurisdiction over drug laws, and a complete restructuring of our monetary system... a man who heads a self-proclaimed revolution... you are worried that that ad portrays this man as being "extreme"?

Seriously?

I for one love it. It's edgy, it's unique, it's descriptive. The complete opposite of Newt's impotent new ad.

Don't see anything wrong with the add. Nobody in Iowa or NH going to caucus for Ron will switch candidates because of this. Lots of sports fan / hunter types will see it
and perhaps wake up. The buddy in the next chair who likes Ron Paul can yell boo-ya. Cutting departments is a great differentiating topic. Separates us from other
candidates. Unless they coach high school football, very few ESPN viewers in Iowa or NH rely on any of the five departments to be cut. We are looking for people who are
on the bubble between going to caucus for Paul or not. If polled, those people would approve of this message.

I would not put this on The View in late October. But if The View wants to put it on, then I think RP would welcome the debate over the value of those departments.

You know what cracks me up?

The thought of his campaign ad guys sitting down with RP selling it to him for his approval. I would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall for that meeting.
