Ron Paul accused of creationism on front page of Reddit

Ron Paul flat said evolution is a theory and he doesn't Accept it. He said the Creator HE KNOWS made all of us and made the Universe..now that dang sure sounds like Creationism to me. I agree with RON PAUL..as usual. tones

This is an example of black vs white, when the reality is gray.

I am willing to bet that most (most does not = truth) people in the US believe:

Matter and all things were created by an omnipotent Creator, and those things have since gradually evolved or developed.

This is neither the theory of creation or evolution, yet it's a better representation of the majority viewpoint. Why then do we bicker about extremes on either end of this viewpoint?

Has Ron Paul flat out said: "Nothing has evolved. Everything is as it has been since creation." ? There is then the difference between young earth (5000 years old) vs old earth creationists (agree with scientific age). Point being -- this is not a black and white topic.
 
I believe in theistic evolution, but it doesnt really bother me that he believes in creationism. He's running for political office, not 9th grade biology teacher.

The last poll I saw done, which was a few years ago, was 55% creationist, another 27% believe in evolution but that God guided it some manner.
 
We are all creationists... From the car you drive to the shirt on your back. Many countless individuals through peaceful cooperation in the division of labor have created these things. If we allow those who seek socialism to destroy this, than we will create slavery, chaos and death.

If we can create, then why not God.
 
Ron Paul believes in the Declaration of Independence..

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The shocking thing, to me, is the lack of "Not Sure" answers. Considering no one can be absolutely sure of the answer to the question posed, it seems there is some intellectual dishonesty coming into play. Or do people just not realize that it's ok to answer "Not sure" to True or False questions?

That sounds a lot less certain than you would like to portray. Do you have some hidden agenda that would lead you to distort Paul's position? Maybe looking for some outside endorsement of your goofy worldview from someone you respect?

Uggg. On certain points you may. But as a creationist you do not. He doesn't support that theory either. He supports the theory of I don't know and does it really matter anyway. It is what it is.
