YouTube - Ron Paul: A New Hope
Some interesting facts that happened after this video:
Ron Paul set an all-time fund raising record in the history of American politics, when grassroots Americans spontaneously donated online on their own, without any official campaign or fund raising efforts, $6 million dollars in a single day. The donations were 100% from individuals and incredibly the average donation was only $50. In the fourth quarter, Ron Paul went on to raise more money than any other Republican candidate, with twice that of his next closest competitor, Mitt Romney; who ended up loaning his own campaign $18 million to compete. Heading into 2008, having raised $19 million in fourth quarter primaries, Ron Paul was in competition with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who raised $15 million and $19 million respectively.
Another interesting fact was that Ron Paul raised more money from those serving in the United States military, than any other 2008 presidential candidate, and all the Republican candidates combined.
