Ron Paul 2016!!!

I'm sorry Ron, but we are going to have to ask you to serve your country, we the people and the world for just a bit longer.

He wouldn't want to, and I wouldn't want him to. Let the guy rest if we don't make it past Tampa. He's done enough.

To those who say it is not gonna happen:
Why do you insist on living in reality?

I thought the Ron Paul 2012 push was to change our reality. I'm not for giving up, we have not seen the results at the RNC, yet. And, Ron Pauls speach at the TX convention didn't sound like he had totally given up either.

I would be happy if he just wanted to be the voice of the liberty movement. To anyone who says he wont do it. Has he said so? Maybe politics make him happy? Maybe moving the political paradigm is his life's goal? I don't expect anything from him but will gladly support whatever he wants to do.

Its not the man but the movement, but right now the movement is embodied within the man and we should do what it takes.

If Rand wasn't pushing and shoving his way to the front of a line like a spoiled little kid, I would think there would be a chance for Ron to run again in 2016. However, Rand it going to run. Ron is not going to compete against his son, or force him to sit on the bench so he could have yet another chance.

^ And that's the difference between the 2. Ron is a reluctant candidate who only ran both times because of us begging him to, and took principle over popularity. Rand is so eager and hungry for 2016 you can see it today.

Not a chance he will run in 2016. He's pretty much put an end to the 2012 campaign. We had our chance this year, but the establishment screwed us once again. Time to keep on fighting!

I would remind Party Loyalists that the REPUBLICAN PARTY MACHINE and REPUBLICAN PARTY BOSSES are absolutely-no-doubt-about-it part of the Establishment that mocked, marginalized and derailed the Ron Paul campaign . . . separately from the fumbling &/or bushwhacking that occurred within the campaign itself.

Ron isn't going to ride off into the sunset. He's retiring after this term, sure, but that doesn't mean he's going to disappear from view. He knows what he's started and he isn't about to abandon it now. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more from him after he retires than we have during this campaign. Books, speaking tours, etc. Without the restraints of public office hanging over his head he'll be free to really open up and say what he thinks.

I thought the neo-Tea Party was extremely disingenuous for waiting until Obama became president to become tea-dumping mad. These Tea Partiers are stupid enough to believe the Republican Party will fix things that Obama and the Democrats broke. As we have seen through this campaign, these people outnumber us and vote passionately in Republican primaries/caucuses. They believe the Anybody but Obama mantra as if he embodied original sin.

Four years of a Romney presidency ought to wake a good number of these neo-Tea Partiers up. Maybe a Romney presidency will significantly grow our ranks. Far more than if we had another Obama term.

All it will do is guarentee 8 more years of a Democrat controlled government. They will not wake up. They still think that there was a difference between Bush and Obama.

Yep, just like noone remembers how bad Bush was after only 3.5 years, noone will remember how bad Obama was after the next neo-con is in office a few years.
It's just a see-saw that few want to get off of.

Yeah, not happening. Paul will be 80 years old and fully enjoying retirement.

He's a health / exercise freak - I would be surprised if the guy doesn't live to be at least 100.

Also, to quote Penny Langford, his long time office manager who quit in protest over some of his choices for '08 campaign staff, "Ron will never retire. He has too much running through his head all the time.".

I would also be surprised if he could pass up all the free soap box time running for president gives you. He wants to start a movement - and not being in the forfront is a recipie for that movement to wither on the vine. Just all the Meetups and C4L chapters that faded away in 4 years is enough to push him to run. We haven't reached the tipping point yet and he is still very much relevant and needed.

I would rather focus in on getting him to run for Texas Senate in 2012... although that door may have already shut. 2014 maybe? Is that possible?

Anyways... whatever he does he must keep directing us in one way or another. If he just goes home and disappears then i'll actually feel betrayed.

duckies--- maybe senator rand has a BIG binary choise, like being almost a less bigotted
dixiecrat senator like robert byrd or strom thurmond, or going potus or veep or even both

He will be 80.

Let him rest, let him live. Let him decide.

It would be very selfish of us to coerce him to run again in 2016. We need to start putting our cards in other people across the country.
