Do they need another News Conference every time some two-bit blogger digs up this same old story?

Ron Paul should hold a major press conference after NH. Pull a duncan hunter. Everyone will assume he is dropping so they would cover it. He can address this and the other criticisms.

He needs to name names, its time.

Ron Paul has proven he is knowledgeable and consistent. Now, He needs to prove he is a leader.

This is old crap repackaged. Dr. Paul has already made a statement on this stupid newsletter crap a while back. Don't waste HQ's time. If Dr. Paul feels it's necessary to readdress the issue, I'm sure he will.
 
RP has not addressed this article. This article quotes new newsletters, not the same one from 1996. If the RP campaign doesn't respond to this, the damage will be done. The media has already set in the publics mind that RP is "radical" and that we his supporters are "nuts, crazy" etc. According to the writer of the article, he called the campaign and spoke with Jesse Benton trying to get answers...and wasn't happy with the answers he got...if this is true, it was Jesse Benton's responsibility to inform Dr. Paul this article was coming out and to inquire of Dr. Paul how they should respond. We know the campaign has known about this article at least for a couple of days from that Tucker interview. Why they haven't already responded is beyond me...

Whoever started this thread really needs to understand what being a MAN is all about... and that does not include tossing names to the scumbags in the press.

Dr Paul did the right thing by stating, "I did not write it, but I take full responsibility for it because it was in my newsletter"

That is what someone with INTEGRITY and true sense of HONOR would do.

The author of the articles should out himself in defense of Ron Paul, but anyone with a half a brain knows that this will not benefit Dr Paul either. As the MSM will then say, "He may not have written it, but it is now clear he does associate with racists".

That won't work this time I fear. If Ron takes full responsibility for all of this stuff. we're toast. Best option will be to dispute it exists if hard copies are not available. If hard copies do exist, then we will need to identify the author and explain why this trash went out under Paul's name.
 
i just heard all these accusations were basically from a single newsletter. Now i'm hearing this has been a consistent theme for many many years? I'm saddened to know his only excuse is that he should have payed closer attention. I dont expect anyone to believe that.

Sense of decency? It should be patently obvious to everyone that this person, whoever it is, is absolutely NOT decent.

Punks like Kirchick are the types who want any discourse that seems vaguely offensive to gays, etc. in college classrooms not only banned but to become arrestable offenses! This is where I agree with the likes of the conservative talk show hosts.

I dare you to go back and look at newsletters from Pat Robertson, Jerry Fallwell, etc. and not find anything "offensive" in them.

In my opinion, unless they can find something coming out of Ron's mouth or something that says "By Ron Paul" then they ain't got squat.

You have a point, IF THIS WAS A COURT CASE BUT RON PAUL IS TRYING TO GET ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE US.

Come on, this may not change your view of Ron Paul. It may not change mine but if Ron Paul does not defend himself then everyone will assume he is guilty. The first ammendment is fine but just because it was his right doesn't mean people have to like him.

If this wasn't damaging to Ron Paul then we wouldn't have 1000 threads with 100000 replies. This is a big deal and in the eyes of the public Ron Paul will be guilty until proven innocent.
 
whatever. i am less concerned with Kirchick than the alleged staffer who besmirched Ron Paul's name. it is old news, but let's put the spotlight on them. if the person was fired, let's out them. who was it?

I think it's pretty clear from what's written in the Newsletters that the author does not have decency.
