I find it incredible that Romney would talk out both sides of his mouth and pretty much back McCain during his CPAC speech. He was talking about how entitlements will amount to 70% of the national budget and any true conservative should address this. Romney has to know that McCain's amnesty preference will blow that 70% of of the water.. 120% here we come.

People started to boo when he mentioned McCain. They he started talking about the Islamo-boogeyman some more and they all cheered. What a bunch of sheep. At least some people in the audience looked like they knew he was full of shit.

The take home message I got is that Romney is dropping out so America can better fight the war on terror.

He's trying to sell McCain without endorsing McCain.

He's trying to co-opt Ron Paul if Ron Paul comes out and suggests anything to make himself sound weak on "the war on terror"

I hope Ron Paul knows what he's doing with this speech today, it could be the most important of his life.

They didn't cheer very loudly when he talked about terrorism. I think Ron Paul will have a very receptive audience this afternoon. :)

My biggest hope is that this speech is picked up on by any of the media outlets.

Romney as much as said: "The war-mongers have told me to get out."

He said that the Democrats would "surrender", trying to paint his withdrawal as fighting them, but they won't stop the war machine.

Only Paul would stop the war machine, and they want to avoid a brokered convention, so that the war will go on with their guys as "both" candidates.

Ron Paul needs to come out and say he will take the war straight to the terrorists whatever country they may hide in.

This will be done not by declaring war on the country, but by issuing letters of marque and reprisal against the terrorists themselves, which will give legal authority to persue them to the ends of the earth.

Oh please Ron don't let us down!

He started talking about that in WV and didn't make the point well enough.
