Romney Won't Debate in Oregon; What About Everyone Else?

I hope Ron contacts Newt and Santorum to keep this thing alive. God knows Ron needs the exposure, and it couldn't hurt Newt. The only problem is dragging Santorum away from his campaigning.

I kinda lean towards wanting him to do it, as well, it is much more his kind of state than theirs, I would think. On the other hand, maybe he wants to be in Illinois or Hawaii....or connecticut....

I haven't said this before about anything but can someone e-mail this do doug wead?
Because if it's out that Romney won't participate and the others do that's good and if he publicly caves and goes anyway that's good.
Either way it's a win

This debate is on the 19th, so the only things that may come in conflict are the Illinois Primary (20th) or the Louisiana Primary (24th). But given that he's visiting Illinois in a couple days, I don't really see any reason why he shouldn't be at the debate. There is nothing going on for a while besides county/district conventions.

he should make an effort to get the exposure, but this is hoping at least Newt and Santorum also join in.
Romney does not want to attend, because he can only lose in this, because everyone will attack him.
he cant gain anything from it.

After he got tore apart by Ron Paul in the last one, that's a good move on his part. I'm guessing they will end up canceling it.
tell them they not too :( ;)

I really want to see another one in the current climate (tho I can see Santorum ducking out as well, he and Romney are both leading on momentum but weak in a number of ways so they likely want to avoid rocking the boat... you know, because he's a fake ;) )

Hopefully Newt stays in and debates RP one on one. :D

The media would have a field day with that one. That is if anyone actually talked about it. "3rd and 4th place candidates duke it out."

Besides, if Newt doesn't win BIG in the next 5 days, he is done. And by win big, I am not talking about taking these upcoming southern states by 1-2%, basically splitting the delegates evenly. And he sure as hell can't lose even one of those states, as it is starting to look like he might. After this set, the next set of primaries shift toward Romney momentum builders. Almost every April state is going to be big Romney wins. That is simply too many states, and too long of a time with the momentum, even with pro-Santourm states coming up in May. The other candidates need to go all out to prevent Romney from a strong showing Tuesday and Saturday (and Sunday) or else it is pretty much over.
