More clues Romney will deliberately lose to Obama? The media has painted Bernanke as a "hero" and put him on the cover of Time Magazine as the most influential person etc. and Mitt Romney is going to replace him? I mean obviously Ron Paul would get rid of him and the Fed altogether, but Romney publicly announcing beforehand that he would remove the Chairman seems like he's throwing the election to Obama. Isn't Bernanke personally a so-called Republican? Obama could defend Bernanke and say he saved the system from crashing and how Obama is bipartisan by keeping someone who professes to be a Republican in office. I could easily see Obama arguing that there would be so many unknowns under a new FED Chairman and threaten the American public with lines like do you want to take the risk that the market could fall, etc. etc.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney pushed back on an interview given by one of his advisers earlier in the week that suggested he would be willing to renominate Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Speaking to Fox Business Network, Romney said: "I always listen to people who have counsel and advice but my view has been that I would want to select someone who is a new member, excuse me, a new person to that chairman position, someone who shared my economic views, was sympathetic to the needs of our nation and I want to make sure the Federal Reserve focuses on maintaining the monetary stability that leads to a strong dollar and confidence that America is not going to go down the road that other nations have gone down to their peril." While Romney says he hasn't considered a single person, he added that Glenn Hubbard, who had given that interview earlier in the week, is "a wonderful economic adviser," and that Greg Mankiw is "likewise an excellent economic adviser."

Seems like a guy like Bernake who studied the history and policies of the great depression would have seen things coming. Although I'm sure the argument can be made that he is the perfect guy for the job of transferring huge sums of wealth.

It's a lie designed to try and lure Ron Paul supporters into supporting Romney.

Exactly. Just like the whole Rand Paul deal and Romney coming out in support of auditing the FED. There is plenty of video where Romney praises Bernanke for doing a great job. This is the system attempting to co-opt our message - it's that plain and simple. I totally predicted it and now it's happening.

For those that think Romney has no chance of winning, you are wrong. According to the University of Colorado study released today which has predicted the Presidential elections correctly since 1980 predicts - wait for it - Romney to win with 53 percent of the vote for a total of 320 electoral college votes.

It is an uphill climb for Obama because all economic indicators are still bad and aren't getting better. Faber has come out predicting a global recession is just around the corner. The mood of the country is very much against Democrats and Obama in general i.e. they lost Wiener's seat in NY of all places and Walker easily held on in Wisconsin. Romney and Ryan have taken the lead in Wisconsin too. Don't be shocked if Romney wins without us. :(

bernanke is not publicly popular so this is a good political move. it is not evidence of some grand conspiracy....
