Romney/Ryan Presidency will set the liberty movement back 16 years

If Obama wins another 4 years, there is no turning back. When the economy implodes soon, Obama will double and triple down on such crisis i.e. most likely through executive orders.

America will be over and so will be the liberty movement.

Won't happen because Romney would need to win. He won't win, so Obama gets 4 more... Oh and this "If Obama gets 4 more the country is over" BS doesn't fly either... You're telling me the guy that could barely get anything done with a Democrat congress is now somehow going to do more with the current Republican congress? Especially after they see they can't act conservative but vote Liberal (Like Ryan) and expect to win our support?
I'm not buying it. We'll have the best chance in 2016

To me, that just sounds like a catalyst for a massive liberty movement.

Now you're bringing some common sense to the thread. I don't think it will make you popular ;) , but thanks.

I'm to the point where I'm almost ready to vote straight-ticket democrat and watch the whole thing burn.

I won't give up on the GOP, I suppose, but I WILL humble them. The current GOP is far too arrogant to be rewarded with a victory in November (just as you wouldn't give candy to a child who misbehaves in the grocery store), and the only thing that will get them to pay attention is to lose election after election until they have no choice but to listen.

Precisely. They need humbling, but leaving isn't the answer either, since it's exactly what they want.

Romney wouldn't handle the country substantially differently from Obama in such a way that it would prevent or even postpone a collapse though. Actually, he's more likely to get us involved in another major war, which would be more expensive than anything Obama's planning to push through a gridlocked Congress. They both plan on increasing spending rather than reducing it after all anyway. Despite Obama spending way more than any other President ever and all the rhetoric about him being "unusual," he's technically increased the budget by a lower percentage rate than most recent Presidents, and Romney could easily be worse here. I'm not sure if that rate of budget increase includes the bailout he signed, but another war would be a wash with that anyway.

If America collapses under Obama, we have a chance to rise from the ashes...but if it collapses under Romney, it will be extremely difficult to fight the "final death of capitalism" narrative.

Everybody was running around here saying the same thing four years ago.

The country will limp along precisely as long as the banksters and PTB wish it to.

The puppet POTUS will have little or nothing to do with when that time comes.

And I'm quite ok with that. I say let Rome burn. Empowering the establishment repbulicans does nothing for our cause.

Lots of win right there^^

Let's see. So I have to listen to 4 more years of Obamabots talking telling me to "not talk about my president" or I have to listen to 4 to 8 years of idiot republicans defending Romney? It sucks to be alive right now.

You overestimate them.

It will limp along until the banksters get too greedy and hunt their cash cow to extinction. They probably won't do it on purpose. But they're obviously going to do it.

Unless we get more brilliant than we have been and find a way to stop them.

AF might be overestimating them in the sense that TPTB can't prevent a collapse forever, but there are still a lot of things they can do to hasten a collapse if they see fit: There's no telling how much money the PPT is using to prop up the markets, but it's probably trillions, and they could let that shoe drop whenever they want. Similarly, the government could spend/borrow/print so much money or act so belligerently worldwide that they forced OPEC off the petrodollar standard, causing World War III and/or hyperinflation, and that's when the real collapse will happen, unless they opt for a currency exchange with a one world central bank first.

I've absolutely been on the same page OP. Obama winning might finally wake up the well intentioned 'liberals' out of their trance since they're usually less stubborn, younger, and more open minded than your traditional Neo-Cons and So-Cons. And at the same time, 2 consecutive elections lost by the GOP will show everyone that their strategy of picking these RINO war mongers has failed. They need to be humbled in a big way, and them losing will do exactly that.

Just my take, but I think the country collapses regardless of who is in the White House. So four years of Romney and a collapse leads to 8 years of Hillary (who can now say "if Ron Paul ran at age 76, then I can run in my 70's"). If the country collapses under four more years of Obama, then we have a 25% chance of Rand Paul becoming the President.

Turn off the TV/radio/livestream and take up meditation or prayer or something. The world isn't going anywhere, and this too shall pass. :) At least there aren't (official) orders to wage war against the populous...yet.

The only way it sets us back 16 years if we allow Mittens to win. A loss and it only sets us back 4 years. I will everything in my power to get people to vote anybody other than Mittens.
