Romney did no better than Paul

Uneducated voters

The people in Florida are idiots and I have no clue why they voted for McCain.

40% of Florida McCain voters sited the economy as a reason they voted for him. We're as uneducated as the Michigan voters who sited a negative opinion of the war as one of the reasons they voted for McCain.

What I have learned is that the majority of voters are completely uneducated about the candidate they support.

Yes, ignoring vast parts of the country is a perfectly sane and good strategy, I mean, look how well it worked for Giuliani, right? McCain has amazing momentum going into Feb 5th, and Romney's name is going to be everywhere constantly. It doesn't matter whether he got the Florida delegates or not, Florida isn't going to fucking make or break the delegate count, neither are any of the states that have voted so far, it's why even talking about various technicalities concerning delegates seemed so asinine to me. Jan 1st to Feb 4th is all about building a name, no one cares about who actually gets the delegates. This election is going to be decided on Feb 5th, on both sides, you can fucking hold me to that. It's over after that. So if you need or want to do something to get Ron Votes, you have 150 hours and clock is running.

It was a loss, and not only that, it was a crushing loss. You can play all the semantics games you want, but the fact is that Ron doesn't have the support either McCain or Romney do, all mincing words and technicalities with delegates isn't going to do crap for us. For example, Obama and Clinton can have these kind of arguments, because one gets the popular vote, one gets more delegates in some situations, they can argue about who actually won. A brokered convention involving Ron Paul is a pipe dream that just isn't going to happen. All that money we gave to Ron, and he's doing what with it? I kept hearing about waiting for this media blitz before Feb 5th, how I'm going to be tired of seeing his face on TV so much. Well, where the fuck is that? We're 6 days away, a last minute weekend blitz isn't going to even remotely have a chance of working.

As the field falls this morning, John McCain is now set to have 875 delegates by the night of Feb 5th. He would have to pick up less than 1/3rd of the rest of the delegates after that to not win the nomination. He is going to have to pull a Dean Scream in the next 150 hours or have an aneurysm to not basically lock in this nomination, and all that would do is shift it all into Romney's basket.

so true
