[mod edit] update from CNN Political Ticker:

"Mitt Romney and Ron Paul told the Georgia Republican Party, Ohio Republican Party and CNN Thursday that they will not participate in the March 1 Republican presidential primary debate," CNN said in a statement. "Without full participation of all four candidates, CNN will not move forward with the Super Tuesday debate. However, next week, CNN and the Arizona Republican Party will host all four leading contenders for the GOP nomination. That debate will be held in Mesa, Arizona on February 22 and will be moderated by CNN's John King."

This is probably how he is going to throw the contest to avoid a brokered convention. This will hurt Mitt throughout middle America and the South.

Ron better go on the offensive. This is no time to be doing what he's been doing. He needs to knock it out and take Santorum down hard. Santorum is a fake and Ron better be prepared to show him the door.

no, gingrich has a silver tongue and a black heart. He will say anything regardless of how little rooted in reality. Ron would be at a great disadvantage.

Ron would wipe the floor with Gingrich. Having the truth on your side is an advantage. Plus, they would probably focus on attacking Rick and Mitt.

Can Ron still get the TV time if nobody else shows after agreeing to?

We should request the speaking time or an interview or something.

Wow, doesn't really make any sense at all. Also, I'd really prefer Ron not be in a one-on-one with Gingrich. Newt is a gold medalist in the Soundbite Olympics we like to call "debates." It will probably be cancelled anyway if both Romney and Santorum aren't going.

But Ron Paul would have ample time to respond. It would be about as epic as the Lincoln-Douglas debates.
