RNC to Pass Resolution Ripping Bailout, Bush, Socialism

If the RNC's resolution passes, then perhaps I'll reconsider leaving the party.

"We can't be a party of small government, free markets and low taxes while supporting bailouts and nationalizing industries, which lead to big government [better known as fascism], socialism and high taxes at the expense of individual liberty and freedoms..."

I would also add that if we are to return to our core values, then we must also abandon the Bush Doctrine of preemptive war, nation building/occupation, and whoring for the pharmicutical, oil, and banking establishments.

Also, while I'm at it, we must also push for the repeal of the Patriot Act, and the Dept. of Homeland Security. Bush used "homeland," and created the DoHS. Hitler used, "fatherland," and created the SS.

Immigration and amnesty for illegals was also something Bush pushed for early in his first term, proving not long after his election that he was not a true conservative.

I beleive Dubya, Cheney, and the entire cabinet should be indicted for crimes against the Constitution, and the American People. As an example for future presidents, Dubya's legacy should be that he was the only president to be charged, convicted, and jailed for crimes committed during his presidency.

What better way to prove the RNC is getting back to it's core values, and to appeal to the more liberal minding folks, than for the RNC to sponsor a movement to indict Dubya and his pals.

Here's my favorite part...

"House Minority Leader John A. Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, both of whom voted for the financial bailout but opposed the auto bailout, declined to comment. "

The two in position to most influence the house republicans and they don't utter a word. So typical. I was actually a little excited to read this. I'll be attending our county GOP meeting the middle of January and I'd like to have a full copy of this resolution with me to feel out where the locals are with this. I'm hearing there are 42 seats up to be filled within the county party. I'll be there with bells on.

Oh whatever. NOW they oppose bailouts? And big govt? I bet they still support war and would most likely have no issue with sending in Americans to help Israel "defend" herself as she is doing now.

Are they equally upset of the big govt, money sucking war machine? The big agencies like DHS who are undermining our Constitution? Do they see the fascism there, too?

I really hate the GOP. It would take a lot for me to take them seriously as defenders of our country and Constitution. Opposing bailouts alone doesn't cut it, especially after they've already voted for them. My Repub Congressman voted for them, he bent over like a dog in heat without a fight at all, completely disregarding his very conservative constituents. And he was re-elected. Yeah, go Frank Wolf!

Like Grimnir says, it's a little f#ckin late.

About a resolution that would reverse the bailouts instead of just saving face.

There are still individuals within the Republican party who believe in small government. There are also many individuals who do not. The country needs a real opposition party, and now is the perfect opportunity for the Republican party to return to its roots of fiscal responsibility and small government values. The people fighting for change from from within the party could use a little more help. Crying about the things that other individuals within the party have done in the past won't do any good.

Not only that, but you're making the classic collectivist mistake of failing to distinguish between the whole and the majority. Just like any other group of people, the Republican party is a collection of individuals, not a hive mind.

They're still the war party.

It doesn't matter if you're for the bailouts or against them.. as long as you support The War on Terror. Until they change that they'll continue to lose.

anybody who hangs Bush can shake my hand, I don't care if they're communist or Fascist.

McCain supporters were definitely a hive mind.
