Rise for Liberty, Moneybomb May 17th - Planning and Promotion

I really like this

BUT I think you have to put 'Ron Paul', as in 'Moneybomb for Ron Paul' in there or it isn't advertising his positions which is as important as the money it will bring in imho. These will be tweeted and passed around without control on descriptions.

Need reddit thread with a reddit button on the page to click so we can up vote it. REDDIT IS HUGE! Someone needs to contact the actual ron paul campaign and have them make an official event page for this and invite all 900k + friends!

they usually do an invite right before the event. But welcome to the forums! Reddit is a good idea.

Hmmm. I've never been invited to a Facebook event by the campaign. Just from grassroots campaign. Yes, reddit and Facebook "like" buttons are needed. Especially the reddit one since it could reach the front page. 100% of Reddit agrees with him on SOPA and could draw fresh money from them.

I've been busy working on the website and we should be able to start accepting pledges by tomorrow morning.

make that suggestion in the 'campaign suggestion box' subforum, but I have to let you know there was a huge campaign to have that sort of stuff happen early in the campaign, and only a few of the things happened...

Everything here looks great, getting excited about this already. I love the graphics, the theme, and the hashtag will make it a lot easier to find others to re-tweet. My only suggestions from promoting In It To Win It are to make sure that everyone clearly knows that the site isn't accepting any money itself. I came across that a lot, people asking if it was "official" or having people post a warning to others that it was a scam. It felt like I was wasting so much time having to post on every "scam" comment because once people see that word they're unlikely to click on it.

Also, I'm not sure if you only want people to sign up if they are actually going to donate themselves but I saw a lot of "I wish I could help but I don't have any money" or they wouldn't join the event because they weren't sure if they'd have the money. I'd tell them that they could still help by joining the event, inviting their friends, and changing their profile picture. I figured that would both help spread the word and remind them in case they end up getting money later. So maybe have the part where people enter their email say something like "Sign the pledge to Rise For Liberty - and be reminded about the moneybomb".
