Nice try :(

Not sure what joke you're referring to

Nice try? What kind of a stupid comment is that? The joke is that you can actually beat Big Government and expect them to play by the rules. Applying Irwin's advice got me into over $24,000 in trouble with the IRS. The joke? Everything stated in Irwin's book that I applied and get me in hot water. My advice, steer clear and do not follow the advice Irwin outlined in his book.

Damn shame at the end of it all he had to die a prisoner of the state.

The great majority of tax honesty folks who have applied the concepts (by first making themselves judgment proof, while keeping their activity free of the SSN tracking number, and consistently challenging IRS misapplied tax assessments) have not experienced the hot water above described. There are only 2,000 some odd prosecutions for tax fraud a year, despite over 65 million Americans neither filing or paying. The bulk of IRS harassment is directed at prominent tax truth figures, to try to scare the rest of us off.

Libertarians agree that taxation is legalized theft, but some of us draw the line at unlawful theft, where tax collection is fraudulently enforced even where it is not applicable. Irwin Schiff was one of the brave figures who took a leadership role in pointing this out. I will always cherish the LP National convention I attended in 2002 where he took the time to talk to me and another party member and gave us an impromptu hour lecture on the tax gestapo. He shared even when there was no monetary gain to be had. He will be missed.

Truly horrible. Peter was just on AJ Show hopeful that he might be granted house arrest at his home for the remainder of his time, as he was very ill this last year. Peter sounded to be making arrangements for him, no firearms whatsoever and all of that BS. Separate rules for the Berger and Scooters of this world, but not for the Paul and Schiffs.

Wow. He was over 80 years old, and the bastards wouldn't let him out. He should have just killed somebody. That comes with a shorter sentence.

He was 87 and still handcuffed to the bed when he died. What kind of sick assholes would do that? Even if you think tax evasion should be punished, it doesn't deserve jail time. Just put him on probation and strip him of his right to vote. This is a clear case of being an enemy of the state but a friend of the people.

America, the land of the free.

Where you die in jail, a political prisoner, for writing books.

What stinking pile of horseshit.

And your typical AmeriKunt could not possibly care less.

Godspeed Irwin, Godspeed...

Thank you Irwin. You opened my eyes. I knew before meeting you that the income tax was wrong and had stopped filing. After listening to your multiple tapes and going to some of your meetings I agreed that your "Zero return" was the way to go and I did that for many years. Eventually the goons came after me too but I did not have your courage. I caved and started filing my 1040 self-snitch-bitch form and paid the extortion money to this day. The biggest lesson I learned from your life is how the goons HAVE NO LAW. They FOLLOW NO LAW. There IS NO LAW. There is only the belief by the masses that law exists and that we must follow "law". The goons in the goonerment know that "law" is a fiction and therefore they don't bother to follow any.

Irwin was tortured to his last day by the goons and may God rest his soul...

"I think he (Irwin) was absolutely sincere and probably right on all his arguments..."

Another great Ron Paul quote to add to the list...

Irwin Schiff Passes
A gross injustice ends in the worst way it could: while Schiff still languished in prison.
WORD HAS REACHED ME THIS MORNING that Irwin Schiff has passed. Unfortunately, it is too close to publishing time to for a proper commentary on this sad event.

For now, suffice it to say that though he never actually got to the truth about the income tax, Irwin opened an awful lot of eyes to the fact that what most folks are encouraged by the hungry, corrupt state to believe is true about the tax, isn't. For his efforts, and his admirable resolution in acting as he believed he should out of respect for the law, Irwin was persecuted and abused, ending up dead in prison as an elderly man.

Shame on those who did him injustices.

Rest in peace, Irwin. You've earned it.
