The event is clearly bait. Someone wants us to go nuclear and we must not allow ourselves to be suckered into reacting... at least not until the progressives finally boil over and go large-scale violent.

By that time it will be far too late.

Fear not however, nothing will happen.

No reaction of any significance will take place.

The same old same old will unfold around this event: an orgasm of invective and rage and Strongly Worded Tweets of Disapproval will fly from a multitude of devices, war and rumors of will be heard over and over. Counter arguments, shouts and accusations of being "part of the problem", ever more wild and idiotic conspiracies will sprout up, clouds of FUD will descend, and a brief few moments of chaos will ensure. Then, spent and prostrate, the masses will slowly dust themselves off, move on the next outrage and repeat the cycle.

Like all of you, I am mourning Charlie Kirk. He stood up for his beliefs and died for them at 31, wearing a T‑shirt that read "Freedom."

At 31, my life was taken from me for standing up for what I believed in. And Charlie helped me get it back. He never took credit for it but he played a BIG role in my freedom in many ways. Last year alone, when President Trump won the election, he asked Charlie what was the #1 thing he could do for him and Charlie replied: "Free Ross." And in the days leading to my release, Charlie advocated for a full pardon. He did this and more without expectations of me.

I wish there was something I could do to help Charlie get his life back. But there isn't, and I'm heartbroken.

Charlie, I will always be grateful to you. Thank you for all you did for me and for our country. I pray for you and your beautiful family. Rest in peace.

I agree there’s a disturbing authoritarian tilt on the Right both in rhetoric and official action.

Yet I wonder: What if it were a prominent Leftist who had been shot while speaking at a public event?

So it is significant to me that businesses today did not board up their windows in anticipation of angry riots and mass destruction.

Not a philosophical point about whether Left or Right is more violent in theory. Just a journalistic observation assessing the state of their movements.

The solution to the Left/Right paradox in respect to violence is simple:

The Left enjoys violence, viscerally

The Right is better at violence, in reality

That's why the Left has to constantly bait violence then pull back and try to pull the schoolyard bully stunt where they sucker punch you around the corner, then jump out where the playground monitor can see you swinging wildly at them while they play the victim yelling "Help! Help! He's trying to beat me up!" If there were ever a toe-to-toe fight, they would be annihilated.

And yeah, the Right-wing Establishment are a bunch of tyrants-in-waiting. Any one of them would happily impose Orwellian tyranny given the chance. The Right loves power and if violence is what gives them power, then they'll use violence. But the Left loves violence-in-itself...

I dispute that. Because by and large the conservatives have shown incredible restraint. If this ever devolved into a shooting civil war the liberals would be wiped out en masse. That tipping point hasn't been reached and probably never will.

Realistically I think the liberals have overplayed their hand and the balance is shifting back conservative. 20 somethings now are the most conservative since the greatest generation.

It's not flawed. I live in Florida and see it every day. The legal Hispanics still support Trump in MUCH more than token numbers. Sure some are pissed about the ICE raids. But the ones who came the right way are largely very conservative and like Trump.

Call me a racist MAGA or whatever now. I'm not in any way. I'm embarrased that Trump is the best this country can do for leadership. That doesn't make my statement not true.

Okay. You love Trump. I don't. I think he's a total ass. His first term was okay. 1. Charlie Kirk had gone off Israel's reservation. He was saying things they didn't want heard. Long before any other world leader had time to react, Nuttyyahoo was all over the MSM saying that Kirk was still his biggest cheerleader right up until he couldn't deny it any more.

2. Massie is one signature shy of forcing a vote on Epstein information. Israel needed a diversion.

3. A flotilla of celebrities in yachts is just showing up at Gaza beaches. Israel needed a diversion.
