AF, just out of curiosity, how long does it take to break a rifle like this down far enough to fit in a backpack?

The reason I ask is because there are people saying that the video that shows him running across the roof and jumping down does not show him with a rifle. I've seen the video and I don't see it either.

The story is that he ditched the rifle in woods.

The authorities show a picture of an assembled rifle.

Which begs the question: Why did they show the rifle in an assembled form if they found it in the woods disassembled?

Not too long.

You remove the bolt from the receiver, in this case there would be no reason to disassemble the bolt, drop out the trigger assembly, and remove the stock from the barrel. Maybe six screws/bolts total, maybe 15 minutes or so.
