As of today, what would you rate the official campaign? And what do you think they should / could improve on or do to help?
I won't rate them, but I think they REALLY need to get that social media guy in to do a set up of the social media sites under the guidance of whomever controls that there, of course. The idea that Bachmann's facebook should have more likes is insulting to Ron Paul's supporters.
(sorry, Indiana, went to edit mine, got confused by the avatars and started to edit yours. Changed it back, though.)
The poll numbers aren't fluctuating. They're steady around 6 percent. Look at this RCP average of polls over the past few weeks. It shows Dr. Paul stuck at 6 percent, and the Quinnipiac poll confirms that. We don't need to just hold the support we have, we need to make gains.Don't sweat the poll numbers... They will fluctuate, but if you notice, Paul's support doesn't. That's an incredibly good sign.
It's looking more and more like Perry will be getting in soon, and when Bachmann blows up, the risk is that a lot of her support goes to him. We'll have to see what happens when Bachman falters. The campaign really needs to capitalize on this - it may be the last chance. Timing is everything.
...I would give them an 8 so far. They have a good ground game built in Iowa and NH, they are listening to the grassroots concerns, and have some great people working for them. Their Social Media needs ALOT of work though.
Which numbers are you referring to? These? Honestly, those don't hearten me much. Romney's not even making an effort in Iowa and he's still ahead of us 4 weeks out from the Ames Straw Poll. If that's the way it plays out on Aug. 13th, it won't be a good thing. You obviously haven't seen the latest Iowa poll numbers have you?
Well, if poll numbers are a reflection of how a campaign is doing, then they're not doing a very good job. We're stuck in the mud in single digits and not showing any signs of moving out of there. Meanwhile, we got all these clowns polling ahead of us who haven't even jumped in the race...they could run away with it anytime they decide to enter. Right now, my sole hope rests on a great result in Ames.
I'm a pretty positive member of this forum. But we're reaching a crucial point in this campaign. Something has to happen soon to put us in the top tier of serious candidates, and I see any number of things coming up that puts that at risk. The campaign has to be running on all cylinders now, and they're not doing that. To be pollyanna-ish isn't doing anyone a service. You know, when I see other supporter forums for other candidates and the cheerleading for how great their candidate always is, all I can say is I hope Ron has a thick skin, being saddled with us....
Keep an eye on tomorrow's Morning Score section of Politico.com for some BIG news about the Ron Paul campaign!!!!
