Rick Perry on Fox about McCain Scandal

Man, Rick Perry disgusts me, I can't believe our governor is this neo-con traitor....he believes this McCain Lobbyist issue is just "..yellow journalism at it's best.." and he adds "..McCain is locked in indefinitely as the nominee, no doubt.." God dammit, I really would love to see this guy get kicked out of office ASAP.

p.s.: Didn't he violate some law because he went to some secret meeting that he was not supposed to go to? FKN HELL!

Yes, he did. He attended the Bilderberg (sp???) meeting. When Hillary attended, she paid a fine.

Quite a few folks in Austin claim that a lot of hard core A&M students are closet gays. They have some pretty questionable traditions if you don't know...
Nope, didn't know that about the Aggies. Just the items that have made the news. Questionable traditions in the manner of the Skull and Bones crowd?

Yes, he spoke at bilderberg, which is a violation of the logan act.

Rick Perry is a disgrace. He also lead the charge on behalf of big pharma to push the mandatory HPV vaccinations for young girls. He disgusts me, thank god that effort was stopped by Texas legislators. This man should not hold any office at all. He should be place promptly into a cold jail cell.

Other conservatives are defending McCain against the despised liberal newspaper. This could help him with some conservatives. Religious conservatives turned off by this allegation were voting for Huckabee anyway. By the general election this will likely be forgotten unless new evidence comes to light proving that there was an actual affair. We'll see if it affects him at all as he seeks to provide the final knockout blow to Mike Huckabee on March 4th.

Rick Perry is gay. My friend is involved in the art world in Austin and her gay friends told her that Perry has blindfolded gay guys brought to the capitol to service the gov. They supposedly don't know where they're going or who they're blowing. But they're not fools. They know exactly who it is.

Whoah that's quite a claim!

the bilderburg meeting that perry went to was indicative of his future presidential role. which really ties in nicely with the "the reps want a dem to win so they will inherit the shitstorm that's coming in the next 4 yrs" scenario. think about it. dems do anything and everything to stave off the hell we're going to go through in the next 4-8 yrs and be ruined because of it. then here comes the Republican savior to the country, mr rick perry. pretty plausible if you ask me.

Ironic...there was a rumor floating around a while back that Rick was bisexual..and had a secret gay lover.

Did anyone hear Hannity's say something like this, "The NYT's should be ashamed of itself. As far as we know this is very old information that has been refuted multiple times. It's an embarassment to journalists everywhere to run this story in the middle of an election when all they are doing is re-hashing old information."

Am I the only one who thought about Fox News' coverage of the Ron Paul 'racist newsletters scandal'??? Talk about double speak! Hannity must be riding the straight talk express with McCain.

I can't help but wonder if Ron Paul knew about this story before he made his latest campaign video. Didn't he mention some damaging information that could possibly change the entire election? This must be it.

I hate Rick Perry. The Texas governors mansion was not good enough for him so now we pay $9,000 a month for him to live somewhere else.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is amongst the attendees at this year's secretive Bilderberg Group meeting in Istanbul Turkey, but his visit could be a violation of the Logan Act, a 1799 law that criminalizes unauthorized U.S. citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.

"Gov. Rick Perry is flying to Istanbul, Turkey, today to speak at the super-secret Bilderberg Conference, a meeting of about 130 international leaders in business, media and politics," reports the Dallas Morning News.
"Robert Black, the governor's press secretary, said the governor was invited to attend and speak about state-federal relations. Mr. Black dismissed the conspiracy theories."

"He's looking forward to learning the secret handshake," Mr. Black joked."
Sophomoric joking aside, Perry's attendance at a behind closed doors, and armed guards, meeting, in which the content of what is discussed will remain totally secret is a potential violation of the Logan Act.

No disrespect, but the mere act of allowing someone to blindfold you and drive you somewhere for the purpose implied seems rather foolish in itself. ;)

WE NEED SOMEONE TO STAND UP FOR TEXAS!!!

Rick Perry (Texas)
Main article: Texas gubernatorial election, 2010
Governor Rick Perry may seek a third full term in 2010.

After serving almost two years as the state's lieutenant governor, Perry assumed the governorship in December 2000 when then-Governor George W. Bush resigned to become president. Perry was reelected to his second full term in 2006 with only 39% of the vote in an election featuring four major candidates considered to be one of the most bizarre in the state's history.

Texas is one of the most heavily Republican states in the country, and its voters tend to be strongly conservative. However, the continuing growth of Texas' black and Hispanic populations, as well as migration to the state from other parts of the country, including California, due to a burgeoning job market have added somewhat to the state's base of Democratic voters.

At the conclusion of his present term, Perry will have been in office for 10 years, which would make him the longest-serving governor in Texas history. Texas does not have term limits for its governors; thus, Perry is free to run for reelection in 2010 should he choose to do so, and would be 60 years old at that time. However, Perry's incumbency may work against him; voters may simply be tired of him and want a change – Rick Perry's approval ratings have remained generally low in recent years.

If Perry does not run for reelection, it is assumed that Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst will seek the position. U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, who was rumored as a Perry opponent in 2006 but declined to run, is also considered a possible candidate.

For the Democrats, 2006 candidate Chris Bell may run again. Houston Mayor Bill White is another possibility, and many would consider him the strongest possible challenger. 2006 Independent candidate Kinky Friedman has expressed possible interest in running as a Democrat in 2010 as well.[7] The state's last Democratic governor, the late Ann Richards, was elected 17 years ago. She lost her bid for a second term in 1994 to George W. Bush.
