It is very obvious now what's going on. All the candidates are taking Ron Paul's platform and running with it. They are doing this because they know his ideas are popular now and the only way to beat him is to steal from him. Although it is good that people are starting to discuss these issues, I can't help but get angry when I hear such a phony like Rick Perry and Newt take Ron's ideas away from him and act like they own them. I have said before that I believe most of Bachmann's platform was from Ron in a misleading way, For example..."leading on the debt ceiling". We know that she is full of sh*t. Anyway, just thought this would either amuse some of you, or do what it did to me...and make me angry.

It's pretty obvious what's happening. They're trying to dilute his message and drown him out. The campaign needs to effectively convey that.

When Perry says that in the next debate, RP simply needs to say, "When you are serious about learning about that position you've just adopted, please read my book on the subject"

illusion of red meat without substance

If Perry got rid of Bernanke it would be to turn the entire operation over to the IMF and World bank

I am just so sick of this garbage. They are just stealing his ideas and trying to get away with it. Ron bbetter call them out on this in September

I think that this is happening because, like Paul said, the mainstream is moving Paul's way.. The politicians are noticing this and they are doing the same, so that they can achieve more voters. This makes me sick to my stomach.. To think that people are actually buying the other candidates' lies..

All of these politicians always float in the wind to the political side that the majority seems to favor, they never stick to one thing. If Perry flip-flopped before, what makes you think that he will keep his promises and not flip-flop on you when he's in the White House..? Just like Obama did.. on top of that, Obama has been golfing, will be taking a vacation, and is currently campaigning. Seems like he wont get anything done now, even though he still has 1 year left of duty. This is just pathetic.

Agreed. It's pathetic and I think RP does have to call the others on it and point to his long standing record of being against this stuff. He didn't turn against the Fed AFTER there were money problems, he could see it coming, unlike the rest. They never gave a shit about the Fed until after 2008....guaranteed.

He needs to stand up and show off his resume, and be the "no more mr. nice guy" while still being nice.

I agree. He should boast this on the debates, he needs to tell people this. He needs to make it clear that he is the only one who has a consistent, perfect record and that the audience and viewers have 30+ years of records as proof. Whilst for the other candidates, they flip-flop and are the puppets of large corporations.

It would be worth THOUSANDS of dollars if anyone got on camera asking this guy the following questions:

"Governor, what exactly will you do to Mr. Bernanke if elected President?"

"Governor, if Mr. Bernanke DOES come to Texas, as Governor, what will you do?"

"Governor, can you please cite exactly which laws that Chairman Bernanke has broken?"
