In order to MAHA!! correctly, one must limit the dissemination of information solely to government-approved-and-licensed "experts" (i.e., doctors and the like), who would of course never lie or misinform, or cater to special-interest cronies, or be influenced by regulatory capture, or so on and so forth.

For the sake of their own good health, the peasants Americans must be kept ignorant of what drugs are available for what purposes at what prices, and other similar distractions.

(And they must especially be kept unaware of the costs of those things - but that's already adequately accounted for in the profound opaqueness of the insurance schemes presently foisted upon them. When a "single payer" system is finally adopted and imposed, what little illumination still manages to leak through will finally be extinguished altogether.)

That's the way it used to be. I've seen ads for prescription meds that don't even mention what they treat. Big Pharma has been playing the hypochondriacs too hard, and they're pestering their doctors for poisons for poisoning tumors they don't have.

Those hypochondriacs were the reason non-OTC drugs could be advertised before. They did their job as useful idiots, especially during COVID, but now that your insurer is trying to save money hypochondriacs are no longer useful. And yes, they gave the insurers the perfect excuse to shove through more laws designed to keep us in the dark.
